    Head turn

I realized I do not know which head turn I am clicking? I think this is getting closer to what you are looking for. is it the head turn as she passes my body or the turn when she goes out and around?

    ZZ

I don’t know why she was having trouble to start. Also, I cannot figure out if it make a difference which arm I use to call her over the jumps or not. if she starts on the right of the jump wing, should I be facing right when I call her over (facing away from her) or left facing toward her?

    Organization

I think I found a board that will work better. question: If I tell my dog to sit, I would expect them to immediately sit rather than go to a board and then sit? this seems a little odd to tell the dog to sit and have them move forward. For those that do obedience, has this raised other problems or is it so contextual that it makes no difference. how does this look to you? should I keep with less distractions until I am getting the speed and consistency on the board before upping it. or do I start to up it now?

zz – I have no idea what I was thinking on the third one. funky arms. I am going to do more of a split stride when I release her. Should I start to use more movement? flatten out the angle?

Head turn: I am not feeling any Rhythm.

Collection: how is this platform. I understand why we want a nice tight sit but I rewarded a couple that were not all four feet on on because there was effort. does she need a longer platform?

need to focus on placement to keep head down for both of these.

    Looking forward to feedback

    ZZ step 2

Is this what we are looking for?

    Head turn:

getting organized plank – I have tried to get a “sit on the plank” however, she sees it as a contact board. I have started out reminding her that the sit is valuable on the plank. after that, every time she should go into a down just as if we were training our 2o2o. how important is it that she use a plank for the second step?

Are we ready for step 3?

This is tough! Not sure what to click. This is left only.

    head down.

Jump distraction – I was a little too distracting. I am wondering if she is thinking I am proofing for obedience?

    first try at ZZ –
I think I am helping her to much with the way I am moving my body. also, I am not sure what would be “good handling.” I realized I am looking like I am doing a directed jumping for obedience. what would be the proper arm position (if any). I do not want to building body behavior that I will need to fade down the road.

See what happens when you let a Ret. Judge in your workshop? “literal” is my middle name.

having a ball with this. I am super motivated because of Cyno coming up (our first). At the WCO, although we made it into two finals, it is very clear where we lack skills and I am determined to help us get further next year. You will be “seeing” a lot of us over the next year.

On the head down with motion, should I focus on more movement from me or add a jump?

On the ZZ you say to work all angles, since the dogs position relative to bar does not change are you referring to handler position?

Until we graduate to jumps is it okay to post several exercises at once? If not I ask for forgiveness.

head down Maggie has a “U” neck and her shoulders are rough (meaning up high, they do not lay back). I do not know if this will make is tougher for her to keep her head down. when she swims she carries it up high.

Motion override. do you think we can add a bit more motion?

Do you want us to start zig zags now or do you want better organizer foundation before we start the ZZs?

Also, it is my understanding that we can combine everything in one day provided we are not adding jump bars, correct?

Here we go! Let me know if these are what I should be getting. TIA

Lead with the head step 1

she will offer the wrap so I am not sure where I should be clicking and rewarding.

    Organization step 1

She sits on a platform for front. I do not know if you want any sort of a verbal for the sit. How is her “organization?”
