Got some trial experience for the young man last night – some simple stuff and he did great working in the environment. Used up and down patterns while waiting in the cues

Also a reminder, as a great mind once told me that problems are usually owned by me. Left there thinking that my come tunnel cue needed some work. Now it’s clear that me staying the F out of his way needs some work – totally blocked him from the pink tunnel.

I think the instructor was saying the same thing about staying in motion, yes?
    – yes exactly – she kept telling me to run and I kept saying I got nowhere to go. staying closer to the tunnel would have helped – I do get stuck on always trying to get ahead, not always appropriate

This was round 2 at the class. 1 thru 9 was super – he nailed the weaves. However, the wheels did come off the bus at 10, Lord knows what caught his attention but there are all kinds of interesting things in that sand. We did work thru it, but it took like 4 tries. Is there a better way to handle this type of OOPS?

Did try the slice at 12, sort of on the fly so I blew the timing. My time was up so no chance to redo.

The barn is only available to us on Mondays, So I build the course in the am and take it down in the pm so no chance to take a look at your input on the full course. I do build the pieces at home and work on them.

The first video is our training session for the 2nd 1/2 of the course

2nd video is us putting it all together yesterday evening. He had his where is my leash going moment so part of the training routine is me walking and handing it to a runner.

yes he had an issue in the weaves here, I chose to ignore it. We did run 5 to the weaves right after this sequence and he nailed it for a jackpot

Getting him to drive ahead of me in the weaves is definitely on my list of things that need training attention. If I put a bowl or T&T out here, no problem. have to figure out how to fade it.

    Hey there

Built and worked on the package 1 jumpers course 1 this morning. 85 degrees and 75% humidity so he was a trooper.

Took me a while to get the 1 to 2 right – he’s an honest boy, going to go exactly where my body language sends him. Then worked a bit on getting him to drive ahead of me in the weaves – a work in progress.

Went back to the opening again and ran it with a blind at the tunnel 4 exit, I like that better, less running for me.

Also ran the 2nd half – will send that next.

I’ll be back there tonight and will try and put it all together.

A bit off topic here, but some pattern games for the win! Waiting our turn at class here with another running in the ring.

Love the pattern games for this boy

Hey there – Monday night went well, this was our 2nd time out.

Need to do some more work on his holding his contacts, broke the teeter this time before release. I’m fairly sure that the activity in the next ring has a whole lot to do with it, but a broken contact is progress when compared to a complete disconnect – yes?

Cheated on the 8, 9, 10 line – rewarded him for the nice weaves, then set him up for an easy line – success is a good thing.

Dropped bar – the discussion at the end was about cues. I used check check at the spin which is actually his cue for a wrap to front cross Karen thinks his confusion there is why the bar came down. Don’t have a cue for a spin -something else to add to the list.

Hey there – got to build and work this course this morning. It should look familiar to you. Here’s what I see

Nice running DW on the opening sequence, but we train for a stopped LOL
.50 – what did I do to send him to the white jump – saved myself with an out cue
1.25 – I probably needed one more step?
2.20 – I was late on the BC but he saved me. Then I forgot to finish the spin, putting me on the wrong side of the frame

Will be back there later tonight and will try to put it all together.

Looking forward to the power patterns info – will have to catch it on the replay though.

Well I ran the course I last showed you again today. The person who was going to video for me did everything right except actually start the camera- I got nothing for you

I was encouraged to replace the threadle wrap with a backside slice to the far wing and to replace the RC after the wrap with a BC – no problem for the boy and it let me get ahead a bit more.

Have a great safe and quiet

Hey there, here’s a bit of work we did Tuesday afternoon

Worked on some GoGo in the 1st clips and then some threadle wraps and backside slices in the 2nd clips.

I should see this same setup again on Friday afternoon. I do rentals on Tuesdays and then a class on Fridays where Dawn can set me straight. A bit backwards, but it is what it is.

    Hey there Tracy

A bit from our Monday night class — it was one of those Tom can’t run because everything hurts nights.

My Go go and his Go Go can both use a bit of work – need to trust him more, he’s getting better with the distractions

Should have given him a turning cue before coming out of the tunnel at 1.30 or so – he had no clue as to what I wanted in a timely fashion

Hey there, here’s a bit of work from class last night. the course should look familiar to you.

A turn is 2 minutes on the floor, I generally run until an issue presents itself and then I know what needs work. Here it was losing him to the off course straight ahead jump off the A Frame.

    Hey there
Well, he’s usually better at stationing that you saw in the last video. That said, using a crate in my yard is probably a good plan. Quiet crating is definitely something we have to work on. at class or ina group, the boy thinks that every turn on the floor should be his. A work in progress.

This video is of some sequencing we ran on Tuesday – worked on layering, backside slices, tunnel sends and not tripping over the DW – the short center tunnel was a toughie.

    Hey there Tracy

Watching all these people with all this space – jealous.

We have the same restrictions as last year – not much space at home, can probably build a course of yours on Mondays Rental on Tuesdays where I’m not going to reset muchmand a class on Fridays. We will do the best we can to stay with the program

This clip starts with class on Monday evening, worked on our threadle wraps and slices
2nd clip is in the yard Monday afternoon. Should look familiar to you

This boy needs the sounds and energy of dogs running agility to get himself fired up, just me and him – yawn – having Cody out helps a bit.

I really need to take the time to get his toy drive all fired up. Its there, but kicks in and out. Food drive is always there so a lotus ball is our primary right now

Here’s a bit more on modulating emotions with toy play. I kept it short because toy play can be fragile at times – but it’s coming along.

Yes, I do some long sessions with relaxation protocol at home. After 10 minutes or so, he will just go to sleep on the mat. Interestingly, he is much more alert and waiting for something to happen when I have the tripod out – it’s become a cue for lets do something. No tripod and he’s much more relaxed.

I’m not clear on what you are looking for with Superbowls around the agility equipment. Just a pattern of bowls around the equipment or include the equipment. Can you please clarify

    Thanks

Here’s a bit more on Modulating Emotions – ths was at a ring rental we did on Tuesday

Is there value in these shorter sessions or do they need to be longer. Relaxation sessions on his mat- we are now ping ponging durations at home between 10 and 30 minutes
