ParticipantDid our first official session of Goat Tricks. We call Pocket the “mountain goat” getting on things is definitely not an issue for him. Deb had a wobble board in with the puppies when they were babies and if he sees one he launches himself on it to ride it. The other day he launched himself onto my rolling office chair and then parkour-ed onto my desk. Stillness on the other hand is a struggle. We have been practicing stillness on the table for conformation and he does pretty well in the ring. Going back to toy from food was a no-go.

ParticipantTried the driving ahead to toy outside again with a long line this time. Only one I had was really heavy and thick so a little clunky. Have ordered one a little more manageable.
Also worked more on prop games with food and was pleased how he was moving away from me with food in my hands this time.
Wing Wrap (cone) with me sitting in a chair vs the floor.

ParticipantAwesome feedback, thank you! Glad I have a couple days off work to get in some sessions. Oh and btw, that session with the starving farmdog was AFTER dinner lol. This puppy is a good maniac!

ParticipantHad a little bit of a tech issue transferring my phone videos to my laptop so cried uncle and loaded to YouTube. So here goes the big video dump 🙂
Driving Forward in the Yard. He did take it and go eat it so I backed up and kept it in hand for the next attempt:
Next session was inside:
Prop Game:
We had done the pre-class homework with food but wanted to start this session with a toy. He did much better with toy, he gets frantically handler focused with food:

I did a smidge of shaping this a couple months back with food sitting on the floor and he was much more successful. The two toy thing had us both a little confused but we got some snuggles in so I call that a win!

ParticipantSo excited to see another Farmdog in the class! It is a whole new Farmdog world to me after a Doberman, Poodles, and BCs.
