ParticipantSo our back yard is still a mess but we went to an UKI agility trial Saturday so I thought I would share those videos in case that helps. Knight and I ran in a totally new place for him and he did amazing with the environment. The first video is our beginner/novice jumpers run and the second is Speedstakes. (And at :20 in the second video just so you know I was planning to do a blind but was watching him a bit too closely and got stuck so did a front lol)

ParticipantSo, I tried two versions indoors, and um… well we got some good bloopers. lol So in the first set we see how much trouble I had figuring out where to put the toy and I was late on turning I’m pretty sure too.
In the second set I tried to put two wings simulating a jump but without a jump to try a send. I thought I was ok where I was standing but watching the video I realize I was definitely on his line. Oops. Silly post is in a bad place. You can definitely see Knight’s spicier side in these. lol I figured I’d still share them just because.
Enjoy!

ParticipantHi Tracy,
So I have been watching the videos and reading the homework for week 2 (while waiting for decent weather to do the last exercise of week 1) but we have had such lousy weather here the last 2 weeks I haven’t been able to get outside to do anything. 🙁 I know some of the exercises you really need a bit of room so the dog can go away and you can switch between the different types of connection. Any suggestions on how I could practice any of this in my small space indoors using wings or cones or anything? The snow here in MD may finally melt soon but now it seems to be raining so the ground will be a mess for a while. 🙁
Thank you!

ParticipantThank you! Knight is a Blue cedar, out of Ginger x Atom. Yes, I think I could see him. I will definitely be behind him most of the time with that speed so good call on creating that for us to practice!
Ok here are two video compilations. The first is my attempt at being behind inside (not great, I can try again when the weather clears up) The second is my attempt at exit connection doing fronts and blinds. I’m not sure if I did it right or not but I definitely think I did better on the second side. lol

ParticipantSo Knight and I tried the first exercises. I had the bar low (he usually jumps 16) and the spacing wasn’t huge b/c he pulled a muscle not long ago and I want to take it easy on him for a bit. I know the camera angle could have been better and I’m not sure if my wing was in the right place or not but here it is.
