ParticipantI was really shocked at how quickly he was able to ignore the toy! Go Ramen, u can do it! As far as the teeter goes, I have only done the slam it and the mountain goat.

ParticipantI was pretty certain my toy placement was not great This was only the second time I was able to do it, and I can see everything you said. I think I understand better for next time. As far as the teeter goes, I am happy with 2o2o. I am having so much fun with him! And, yes, flyball training has helped in SO many ways!

ParticipantTwo things are impeding my progress here! The weather has been godawful! So freaking hot and humid that it’s almost impossible to practice. Even early in the morning and early evening I come in soaked to the skin and Yuzu’s tongue is hanging on the floor. Also, I probably over-committed myself this session, as there have been numerous seminars in the A/C (hallelujah!) and I’ve been doing weekly live sessions with Anastasia. Not to mention weekly flyball classes! Anyway, it’s 10,000% humidity this evening but we went out and noodled around with some threadles and backsides and some teeter slamming. He is much more into the slamming with a toy vs. the food rewards I gave him last time. Also, I am REALLY pleased that I am now able to put a pre-placed toy on the ground for a reward.A week ago he couldn’t ignore it, but I worked on this and he seems to have gotten the idea!

ParticipantI’ve been working on threadle wraps and slices with Robie and Yuzu, so I am skipping ahead quite a bit here, lol! Of course, I thought I made a video of the slices, but alas, nothing there.

ParticipantGreat feedback! I’ve been struggling trying to figure out why he goes around obstacles. I knew it was me, but this really helped.
Today we got the teeter out for the first time. He seems a little bit worried about the movement, but after he almost fell off when I tried to get him to turn around he didn’t balk at getting right back on.

ParticipantI added the tunnel to the lazy game today. I am not sure what I am doing that causes him to flank out so wide sometimes. I think at least one of those times I lost connection with him when he was exiting the tunnel. Sometimes I feel like he is looking at the toy and not seeing the jump. Looking forward to your thoughts.

ParticipantFalling behind as I’ve been sick for almost a week! We did some more lazy game today. Hopefully will get out there again later for some more training.

ParticipantWorked on the sends and the plank today. In watching the video, I think my feet are often wrong. Looking forward to your feedback!

ParticipantStarted on the lazy game today. Hoping to get some more done later!

ParticipantHi there! I am so sad this is the last day! It has been fun. We tried out the starfish again. I moved the jumps before the tunnel to give him a better line (like you suggested,) and it definitely helped on the right turns into the tunnel, but we still struggled with the left turns. I put a jump wing out there as a barrier, and that helped. I don’t think my shoulders were doing what they should be doing, stupid shoulders. Tandem turn are not something I have used a lot, so the mechanics are not comfortable for me. See you Saturday!

ParticipantSet up the starfish today. We struggled with this one. I don’t think driving into me is his favorite thing, and in looking at the video I think I was making it harder by bending over too much and probably facing him too much. My feet were certainly NOT pointed in the right direction. I also think anticipating the toy throw is pulling him off the tunnel. Very interested in your thoughts!

ParticipantBeen dealing with the nightmare of a trial, so have been away for a bit. How much longer do we have to post? I did get a chance to work with Esa Muotka yesterday. It was fun.

ParticipantWe are in catch-up mode, lol! Worked on the accordion and the backside challenges today. I think my mechanics on the “wait” are still incorrect. Why is it so hard???

ParticipantHi there! Is the link up for the last live class?
Elizabeth Woodhouse
ParticipantWorked on tunnel threadles today. I suspect that I was not making enough connection on the failures. I think I may have said his name once or twice to try to get his attention, but I am sure I am not supposed to do that, lol! Anyway, I’ll let the latent learning do its job and come back to it later today.
