I think you’re right and I suspect it was the big bin of flyball tennis balls😂

Get out and transitions went pretty well. We are having so much fun!

Finally got a training session in. I hate when life gets in the way of my training lol! Rear crosses are coming along. Wish picked it up right away turning to the right but not so much toward the left. Unless I wasn’t cuing it the same way……

Definitely going to bust out the water bottle! Great idea!
I see I missed that big sprint around all 3 wings. I’ll have to do that one.
I wasn’t able to do any training over the weekend but plan to do more taping on Sunday.
Need to start week 5. When is the deadline for video submission for this course?

I think you’re right. I’m bending over to try to get really good connection. I taped this session before I got your comments. Not that it would have changed things. Seems I have no idea what my body is doing lol!

The diamond was so much fun! I could feel my mistakes and Wish is such and honest willing partner. I don’t like how I am repeating the verbal even after it’s completed. Need to get a handle on that!

It’s kinda long but it’s both wind in your hair part 2 and proofing serps and threadles. I thought things went fairly well.
I’m not sure of the verbal for the rear courses. On my masters dog I use switch for all rears but used the left and rights for Wish’s rear crosses. I think I threw one switch in there out of habit. What are you thoughts on having one RC verbal vs using the left and right?

Thanks for the reminder of the reset cookie. She should totally be paid for putting up with my bad handling!
I don’t know why I keep bending over. That’s going to require some serious concentration on my part since I don’t realize I’m doing it. Geesh.
So on the reward for the serp, every time I tried to put the reward on the ground she wouldn’t stop going straight to it. I know it’s something I need to work through. Any suggestions?

Connection. Sounds so easy yet I really struggle with it. I definitely see where it makes things so much easier for the dog.
I did another serp session concentrating on facing my belly to the bar. Watched in slow mo and my body was not doing what I thought. So I started putting the opposite arm up to force me in the right direction and it totally helped.

I was even able to get some front crosses and backsides in 😀

Jump slice foundation went pretty well.

Also started find the jump. This went well too.

Hope it’s ok to throw three videos at you at once. Sometimes the week gets away from me……

Our first minny pinny is in the books and I think it went well.
The serps were a bit challenging but we got there. The ready treat was quite the distraction but we worked through it.

The little smiley face course was part of our class. I was proud of her work in a class setting. Sometimes her wing sends are brilliant and other times she just doesn’t go. Should I be working with just the wing more often to help?

Wraps and soft turns went fairly well. I did have some struggles with Charm reading a rear cross instead of a wrap. I can’t tell exactly why I got that one way but not the other.

I tried to keep these sessions pretty short since once she did a threadle she would get stuck on that behavior.

OK. I pretty much sucked as a handler on the tunnel exits. I was late on my verbals and wasn’t very connected. I had troubles getting Wish to wrap the wing on the Go but see in my last attempt I met her at the tunnel exit with hard connection and we got it. I guess I should have met her closer to the tunnel on the turns as well. I did get her on the tug toy some so that was good.

I will definitely increase the wing distance. She will LOVE that game!
I taped this smiley face session before I got your comment so things are probably too close together.
I will spread things out more. I don’t mind running 🙂

She loves to tug at home but I can’t always get her on the toy at the training building so I must admit I get a bit lazy and just bust the food out. I agree more tugging would be ideal.

    On to tunnel exits…..

I worked value on the wing so we were able to move forward on the wind in your hair game. Looks much better to me.

Also started smiley face games. Fun!

Backside slice vs soft turns were pretty good.

Serp part II was rough. Definitely struggled with this and could use some help.

My first rep I regressed to saying right right right right but fixed it after that😁 I thought she did pretty good with the serps but she knows that skill pretty well.
She’s also doing fairly well with the backside slice. We will have more struggles when I start moving to the center of the jump and adding motion so I’ll have to take my time with that.
    Looking forward to your input.

Worked the set point with the toy drag. She held her stay well!
Looks like she’s not landing in between the jumps as nice as last session. Maybe I didn’t set up the jumps as close.

She did pretty good on the wing wrap to the jump. I tried to hang back or get past the jump. She struggled with the bigger distance to the wing so we need to work on that.

Planning on moving on to smiley face in a couple of days.
