ParticipantHello! We did do the Wingin’ It: Tunnel To A Wing… last week on Thursday, and I did video! But our club hosted a trial and match this weekend and I kept saying I would edit and post the video while I was there and that just never happened… I thought it went well and we did go all the way through to the blind to tunnel at the end as well. Anyways! Aside from feeling like roadkill, today we did Wingin’ It: The Ladder (Tunnel To 2 Wings)! I built it a bit with cookies, then she left to go get a toy and then used that. Anyways, included those bobbles and we only got to the blind cross at the end once. I am planning on working on this one again. Overall thought it was a good session, included the first and last rep, plus a few middle.

ParticipantThese were both pretty meh. Used a jump and bump vs wing, maybe that was a poor choice.

ParticipantI’m going to work on my body cues. Her thoughts were very transparent with that video view!
Today we worked on Wingin’ It: Countermotion Commitment! I included our first one wing rep. We only built up to two wings then finished with around each way. I included the first and last two wing reps. Ironically I feel like the first one was better! Then on side going around.

ParticipantWe did practice some more of the look ahead and go! Did not video, but all was well.
Then we did the Straight Lines, Four Ways… also as I came back to post… Four ways… hmmm… I only did three. Back to look at what I missed… Go… Totally forgot that one, but since we just did go go, I think okay!
This one seemed meaty and we have not gone back to practice with rear crosses because we struggled every time. Anyways, I thought it went SUPER well. Looking at the video maybe some confusion between wrapping and rears? Assuming I am not being clear. Or maybe just still processing everything. Anyways, I left in almost all of my reps, the video is still very short, but wanted you to see all.
Edited to add the first jump is at 12″ and the second jump is at 10″

ParticipantHere is looking ahead both beginning and advanced, was just about 4 minutes of training, including moving the jumps. This is first time with jumps set at 12″, seemed like a good exercise to raise them. She knocked the first bar but seemed fine after that. I included the first rep, I think the last one before moving the jump for advanced, then the last rep.

ParticipantThank you!! It was good to watch blind vs front!
This is Concept Transfer: Send And Go, and BC to the Tunnel… The first clips I left out to get my four… The first two one-step sends from 3-4… I think those went fine did one of each… Then the breakdown of blind cross to the tunnel (5-6)… First time on both sides she went into the tunnel. I included both of those reps. First one I was for sure late, I cheated a bit on that rep and let it keep rolling to the redo. I was much more on her path for this one. On both sides we did two successful reps after that I left out. We ended with one rep of the full sequence on each side. I included both of those reps. Jumps are still at 10″, I figure I will go to 12″ after this.

ParticipantI love your comments, they are always spot on! I tried walking with words, it’s definitely helpful! I didnt video though. CI do try hard on the stay and releases as it’s definitely been an item I’ve struggled with and made improvement over time.
Here are the blinds and fronts. I left everything at 10” since those jumps are now where the crosses are. But yes, 12.5 months and probably around 20” I need to practice measuring!

ParticipantLove the Find My Face game idea! I loved that game, did not need to go look it up. We had storms for several days, so this was a good one to play! I should probably revisit it occasionally.
First two week two jumping games. Jumps are at 10″. Timing and connection… I think went well minus words… the first rep I said right instead of left on that middle jump, but knew it, so just left that one off. Then again somewhere in the middle. Words and I are often not friends, which is why I tend to end up with minimal words. I’m trying though! I included first last and one random middle. I only cut out two reps. The next one was the first two of Wraps!. She did great, never looked at the tunnel. Only did 4 reps with the first on each side rewarding the wrap.

ParticipantThank you! We did the part three and I had my first class fail… forgot to start the video. I actually think I have done this once before, but it was something shorter so just did a quick few reps. So here is a picture of Bokeh after we did it! She also came in season last night, just FYI…

ParticipantShe got many treats and toys for her birthday! But we also spent last week shuttling around getting our first grown up clearances. Great thing is hips and elbows look wonderful! I love having prelims done at 12mo as it’s before you start doing anything serious for sports. So now back to class focus!! I love the Lazy Game! This has been in my repertoire, so we have done “part one” in the past and pretty much the exact way you do it. For this session I did part one and two first and last reps or each, plus one middle. It’s all one video and still very short. Part two is not something we have done.

ParticipantI have 4 foot bars and I usually use those and kinda guess measure 6′. This was much easier! I did measure my weave poles to see if those would work, but they are 40″. The 3 foot bar is going to be a great addition for grids!!
We did the first part of the starfish today. The camera seems to be in the worst possible spot. Sorry. It took a bit to sort out for me, but I think we got better as we went along.

ParticipantThank you! That is really helpful for the backsides especially. I will work on that. They were really fun drills.
Today we did the accordion grid, I noticed you using a bar to measure, I thought brilliant, so cut a 3’ bar today. The jumps start spaced out 6 feet, then added/subtracted 3 feet each time. Jumps are locked in at 8”. Reps 2/4 she just took a big bounce jump. So that would be 9’ spacing.

ParticipantNew games!
I think we started off poorly on our first backside rep, played a bit of tug and restarted. Otherwise was pretty happy with everything!

ParticipantWe started off a bit rough, but I think we finished strong! I love the screenshots so much! I think I did good on my body and lines on this one! I decided I am going to use “Zip Zip” for a tunnel threadle. This is the first time she has heard it.
