So her Foot is mostly healed and she came into her first heat cycle. She seemed to work fine in her pants. We did serp work. I think I’m going to use an outside arm motion for them. But I held it too long.

We did some tunnel and wraps and suddenly she slowed way down (not on film). I think it may be me disconnecting, too much repetition or maybe not balancing it with some straight running. Just tossing ideas. Also I’m still not leaving and showing a lot of decel. Ah my poor little doggie. Extra cookies for all her effort

Also what household items might work for a channel?

So I’m also balancing running 3 dogs at one session. A novice fast big dobe who will run you over, an adult vizsla and Eden.
Sometimes I’m fumbling adjusting to who I have. I went back and practiced just the wings and counter motion at home – with just a toy! She had a blast. We took the tunnel plus one wing on the road. I practiced some stronger tunnel sends and then the front cross wraps. At the end I worked on the previous exercise but noticed she seemed off. Poor thing has a big sore on her left rear leg. I didn’t notice until the end 🙁 We ran for an hour at the river in the rain and I’m assuming she did it yesterday. I’ll give her some time off

    Acj connect connect connect 🙂

Speaking of connection and wraps, somehow when I move my wrap on the take off side, I’m stopping and connecting into her and she’s stopping – rightfully so. My video got knocked over so I only got one on tape. It’s the first mistake and I reward anyway. Also the first two clips are the first time ever away from home. I switched to blinds so I could work on footwork at home. I’m used to doing this when they are older and have jump commitment nailed down so I need to adjust my mind and feet.

We worked on serps today. I still don’t have that stay. I forgot to stay close to the jump and remembered about halfway through.

I’m really impressed though. She stuck with my bloopers and even tugged at the facility. I am going to try to use the toy more know that I’ve realized she really does like it.

We had 60 degrees today. I did the lazy drill with the tunnel. Posted are wraps and blinds. I almost deleted the wraps because I drive myself nuts waiting and not moving, but it is what it is. I moved the non-wing jump in a tad also about halfway through. I think I’ll use some milk crates or cones next time

None of my dogs stare at the TNT if I’m at the side. They all still stare at me and come off sideways. It’s a high value reinforcer but they still stare at me. I’ve kind of given up on a forward focus on the plank :(. It’s never been an issue in trials so far anyway.

I’ve also hit a stumbling block with the rain. My yard is too soggy for heavy running or tunnels. Not much I can do inside from the games – unless I’ve missed it. But wanted to check in and let you know I’m still here. We have 4-5 days of rain coming also.

I almost posted more about the 2o2o.
We are working on moving around.
She also has a raised plank.
With the round wobble board there isn’t a clear “on and off” and she comes off sideways. I have some landscape fencing to give her a correct on and off.

So today we worked on Wingin’ It: Countermotion Commitment! And now I’m
Wondering if I missed a pre game to this 🙂 I did it as a lap turn send because she didn’t seem to be getting it. Also thinking my Chest and feet might not have been clear to her. I really happy she worked it out and stayed with me!

My yard is a tad too soggy for ask for speed still. We practiced the sit out of motion and I added some wobble board work. She’s already doing her 2o2o off the wobble board so I didn’t want to change what I asked for. She’s comfortable inside, on grass and on concrete with a blanket underneath half of it

We put yoga mats on the ramp. Marrying a contractor is a big win with the dogs 🙂

We have a soggy yard. I worked on angles on the plank, turning and raising my teeter. I wanted you to see so stayed on one side and then started sending with a wing. She was like WTH you doing there?? Also she’s leaping the end. Is it ok just to do the up and not the down? I think she’d benefit with more reps.

I’ll play around with the teeter.
Thanks for the suggestions. We have another day of rain coming so might be a few days.
I do have a high ramp in my bedroom for my old Vizsla with IVDD. It’s not as thin and next to a bed but has given her some confidence racing up and down it. Excuse the 5 dog chaos but there is a brief clip of the ramp at the end of the homework. She’s the one that does the ramp.

Hopefully my sends are really sends and I’m
not walking too much. I also ran my dobe right before and I’m slushing through slippery mud, not my smartest move.

Ah, that makes more sense! I loved the fact she stayed with me! That’s huge. I can’t believe we are in week 8. Is AU023 a next progression?

We worked on the lap turns today and not flapping arms

Well I often forget how big strided Eden is. My other females have been 1.5-2.5” shorter and shorter backed. I will try to remind myself when we run that she’s a bigger strider.

I mostly do OMD so the get out proofing was confusing to me. But maybe I accidentally missed a foundation game. I’m not sure how my waving arm tells her. With my chronic pain I don’t think my chest was pointing either. She gets an A plus for effort. And she stayed in with me in spite of my poor communication. As always we had fun but I failed 🙂

We’re finally back. We worked on mission transition. I had a question after we did it. Should we be giving our wrap cue when we ask them to wrap the jump? I didn’t hear it in the video but might have missed it. I did at least remember to use it to start.

She’s having so much fun. I can’t believe this is the same dog that started with you. We really like these games. I opted to reward everything.

I had no idea I was moving the toy around. I run with toys a lot and don’t think I’ve ever done that before. I’ll focus on it.

We worked on the rear cross tunnel drill. She’s having a lot of fun. My timing seems much smoother turning to her right than the left still.

Ok we tried for quieter arms.
I’m also taking another online class working on “sensitive dogs” and we did more play between reps. She liked this much better. She had clearer communication. Look at her go there. This felt fun.

I’m ready to add my verbals. I wanted to be confident enough not to worry Eden. Some days my brain can only focus on one new task (arms) at a time

Shoot I forgot you’d given me homework and went back to the RC drill. Thursday I will
Practice with quiet arms. I think my arms were a tad quieter here. It’s like when Inrin a novice dog those arms have a mind of their own.

Eden turns better to the left but I’m better to her right.
