ParticipantHi Tracy
We did a couple of sessions today with some of his breakfast and lunch kibble. He has been having some tummy issues with all the treats. I hope it is ok but I just combined into one video. I question if Dublin is going through some fear period or something he was a little off yesterday with noise from snowplow and garbage truck in the am and then barking at his own reflection later that night. Today he was barking at the bag I used for the neutral object. I had thought about doing an outing for resilience walk but not sure now.
Wing wrap: I don’t have a barrel. I tried three cones together and I thought it went well. I do have a larger wing I can try.
Goat trick game: I tried my Cato board and a fit bone. I messed up on rewarding a little bit thought those went well. He does like to climb over things lol.
Front foot target on the mat went great.
Double turns on the come to handler. I thought went ok. I wasn’t quite right on timing. Will try that one again.
Recalls with neutral. Did a book, leg to my Klimb and plastic bag. It was very interesting how he responded. The Klimb leg just made me laugh but barking at the bag I wasn’t sure how to respond to.

ParticipantHi Tracy
Yes the hat for the foot target shaping was the same as with the bag. I will try it again over the weekend. Should I continue to try the hat or something else?
I read over the goat game and since we are having issues with shaping I thought better than to try it today. Also try to figure what item to use. He has seen a bit to climb on and totally loves my Klimb. We have worked with my Cato board a little but not in the last two weeks. I have paw targets, a ceramic pot and step stool I use for pivoting. Foam pads too. Should I do four feet item or two?Today we tried the blind cross. Since the mechanics are new I just did that and didn’t combine with the turn. I will be honest having the toy in that hand makes me nervous since my older golden tripped me when I had it like that when he was puppy. I went down very hard. I got confused what side I was working too but Dublin didn’t seem to care.
Wrap session 2. I think it went ok. My mechanics with moving cone was harder lol. I wonder until he get it if I leaned in or out might work? Or even used my legs as block? Unless you think that might be too much pressure?
Based on Dublins lack of interest in things I put down also trying to figure item to use for my novel neutral for the next game. Do you want to see his cookie recall? It is pretty much like his other game.

ParticipantThinking we need to take a day or two off from foot target. Tried the hat, a bag and then the mat I mentioned. I went too long on the mat session. Maybe some latent learning will help.

Two bowl with cone: well besides the handler error of spilling treats I thought it went well lol. Should I change to jump upright?
Drive ahead: he likes this game. Not sure what I should do next for it? Not sure I ran soon enough and know could run faster. https://youtu.be/VOX5qKjEhX4?si=kOd-Y0vr2PpKKdep
Drive to handler: other than my timing on a couple thought this went well too.

ParticipantHi Tracy
Foot Target. Agreed not sure on the hat for him. I had started playing with front feet on a small piece of rubber mat that I was going to use for his fitness. Would that be ok? Or should I stick with something more random. I can look for a box.
I moved to the basement for more room. A little more noise distraction there but I think we worked through it ok. He had accidentally tipped my Cato plank prior to this and startled himself 🥲 I think the toy play helped refocus. Yes he Loves toy play and I think food is ok too. I was questioning doing the same games a second day but since we are adding more room and next steps thought would give it a try. I think it went pretty well and am excited to hear your thoughts.

Two bowl game. We had tried a little of this before and had added a cone but this was 1st time doing in the basement so I started with earlier steps. https://youtu.be/N9WCtWuvsu4?si=50q4WKOl1_du1C6y

ParticipantWe tried the Driving Ahead and Focus Forward and the teaching deceleration and turns. I need to work on my skills with the toy better and also need to do this in bigger location.

I did quick session with same toy as the games above and the foot target on the hat. It was hard to juggle the big toy and the hat. Got similar stopping after 2-3 foot targets. I will try it again.

ParticipantThanks Tracy
Yes, he loves to tug. We have been working a lot of sits and downs. He has gotten rewarded for chilling on his mat a bit so maybe the hat is a small mat 😂. We have done a lot of hand touches.Should I try these again and show you or move on to try the 1st two games? I think the drive ahead and focus will go well with the toy. He has been retrieving tugs for me to play with him more. Since his toy play seems higher than food I am not wow how the 2nd game will go.
