He’s is doing really well with the angled jumps. I took a tape measure to make sure they are 6ft apart lol. I usually do jumps every other day but don’t always film them.
These videos are not the best, but I wanted to post them anyways. The first one with the tunnel…I think I went to long with it and confused him at the end bc I didn’t know what I was doing. I also realized after watching it back, he probably keeps going in the tunnel bc I keep ending it after the tunnel and giving him his toy. Just kinda what I noticed that I didn’t realize until I watched it.
The second video he was already tired and I wanted him to end on a good note.
My daughter was so excited about your offer! That is very kind of you. I love at her age it’s the one thing we love to do together that I don’t get attitude about lol. What class do you suggest? Her dog is pretty much the same as Scholar.We took the kids to cedar point a roller coaster place and a water park hotel this week so I lost a few days training but the kids had fun!
Cute story about my daughter, that you will see in one of the videos, before I talk about the videos…I hope you don’t mind lol. She has been in the 4H group Bow Wow Bunch showing her cavalier since she was 9, she’s now 13. Dogs and agility especially are her life.she has done a few UKC shows with her cavalier but he can only do so much. So when I got scholar she had a full blown melt down for days bc I told her it was my dog to train. We finally decided to get her a border Collie too. He is 3 months younger than scholar. He stays at her dad’s half the time and my house half the time. So..we have a “friendly” competition on who’s dogs is better lol. Honestly though she is really showing me up especially with obedience, hers is a lot calmer than scholar. It’s really fun to be able to do this with her. She doesn’t do this program but teaches hers from what she already knows and learns from her classes. She’s a natural. 😊
Okay on to the videos….it took scholar a while to figure out 3 jumps but now he seems to get the concept pretty good. This was our second attempt, he has done it more since then.
The in and out is working out pretty good. He seems to be figuring that one out.I did get tunnel bags now and I am doing shorter sequences with him so he doesn’t get frustrated. I haven’t re-videoed that year but I will.
In these videos I set the bar up so he is jumping somewhat and the other we are working on his left and right. He seems to be getting it, as we have only practiced it a little bit. I think I will have a harder time remembering which way he needs to turn during trials as I will be nervous.
I am thinking I might be taking this class again, just because of timing…we will see how much progress I feel we can make.I’m not sure why that last video is saying unavailable. So here it is again….
This is one of our first attempts of wrapping with tunnel, we will keep practicing 😉 He did have fun.
I love that video you shared! It is exactly what Scholar does. I am working on that and it is going good.
For some reason I was thinking these videos were going to be posted every 2 weeks like the first class so we were taking our time and I got him neutered in between so now we are back to working.
I wanted to wait to neuter him until he was 2 but we couldn’t wait any longer.

I’m not sure if he is using his front feet to lift off.Here we are doing the rocking horse with the blind cross. I haven’t added the words yet because I have enough to focus on my moves at this point 😅 I still need to take more time to make better eye contact with him. I feel like he has it down better than me. Also I fall at the end, that is how coordinated I am lol.
Question…. I use the word “break” when we are done with exercises and walks etc. I notice you use it for front releases or future straight jumps I think. What would be another good word for that?

I re worked on the same thing as last time. I switched to the treat and train to see how he would do with that. I forgot to reward him at my hand. I can see how that will be more helpful because he does seem to bypass my hand unless that is okay.Hello Again!
We are back. This is strike a pose part 3. I started first with his treat and train which worked but he only walked over to it. He is not very food motivated anymore. The toy is fine it just makes everything more tricky. I did watch a little bit of the video and did not realize how far I was leaning over lol!We attempted Go Out and Rocking Horse 😊 You will see both of our flaws on here but I enjoy the feedback and it helps me learn. I think with some more practice he will have these down. I have really been focusing on his basic obedience leash walking etc with him this week as well. I am still fascinated with border Collies. I have always had dogs, but the way they work to figure out problems is amazing 🤩
Thank you for the suggestions with the cars. The struggle is real lol. We are keeping him away and incorporating more to keep him focused on us and will keep working on it.
I am working with him alot just not posting all the videos. We are more behind than I want to be but I am trying my best. I have a week off of work now so I am holding my self accountable to get as much done as possible. You have too much valuable information to share not to keep up 😊
I think he is doing pretty good with this wing wrap. We keep going over what he already knows too. More to come…We have been practicing a lot on different things. I finally got my phone out to record today. I was going to do one more later tonight but he seems really tired lol.
The closed fist suggestion on the send to prop really helped! Scholar seemed to pick up on that right away 😊
On a side note, do you have any suggestions on him wanting to chase every single car he sees? He’s driving me crazy with this! Or a good place to get information on it?
Thank you!The weather isn’t great here again so we are back to inside training doing what we can. In these videos I worked on the backing up which I think he got pretty good. I also went back to the sending to the prop. I am having a hard time with this one. I switched to lower value treats to hope he would want to leave me but I feel like I am confusing him in what I am doing. He seems to pick up fast on everything else. He
It’s finally warm enough here in Michigan so I have started doing some of the training outside. I did video two of them and when I re-watched them I realized a lot of my mistakes so I am going to try them again tomorrow. It’s nice to be able to go outside, even though he is a little more distracted. Scholar also started his first group obedience class this week, so he has had a big week 😊
In this video we worked on the touch with different surfaces. The blue thing had a raised bumpy surface. I also purchased a balance board to start incorporating.Thank you for all the great feedback on the previous videos! It really helps me to read everything and go back and work with him.
This was our second attempt, first time recording the wrap it. I think he was a little tired. I also have been working on the collar grab with him from your previous video, it usually goes great, but then sometimes he acts like he hates it.

We have been busy over here but I am still trying to get down all of the first games before moving on.
I tried the wing wrap again. I figured I would post it. We aren’t the best at but I tried your suggestions to delay the treat giving.
For the hallway one I used a mini trash can as the neutral object and he could have cared less 😊
For the box, next time I will get things to make sure it doesn’t slip. I wasn’t thinking it would. I was happy with how he did. I remembered the throwing the treats away from the box towards the end of the game. I kinda feel like I combined two games into one with this.
