    Hi Tracy
I found an old pop up crate to use for the wing wrap. Thought I had tossed it since it has hole in the door. A little crooked but seemed to work. I put the toy on it and he had a little trouble going past but worked it out lol

I also raised the plank up. I think he did ok. When I was on the one side of him he seemed to step off more. Perhaps he was getting tired too. Probably should have done play break.

    Hi Tracy
Thanks! He was flying over everything even more later after we played tug on the floor lol. Agree this seemed self rewarding for him.
So if I get the longer tug does he seem good to tug more then? There is one larger ball that I can put on the wobble board but I think he likes this one. I can increase the wobble later.

For the plank goat games he is doing well at this height plank to move and do turns. should I put it up on something to raise it? I can also support the two ends of the teeter board to create a little higher plank.

I will try to get a picture of him watching the videos. He is the 2nd dog I have had that watches TV and stuff. Aspen goes crazy watching even cartoon animals.

Next wing wraps. Do you want us to stick with tall cone or if I can unload my pop up hamper use that? It is round and about 2 feet tall.

    Hi Tracy
We set up goat obstacle course today. I had the fit disc under the wobble board but it moved. Sorry should have used towels but he seemed ok overall. The Cato tip plank was either lowest or one above. He has been on all of this equipment already. The rocker board is upstairs so I will do that in another session. He offered all of this equipment again after I stopped the camera too 🤣. He is like the energizer bunny golden goat.
Oh have to share. He watches all of your how to videos when I play them 🤣

    Hi Tracy
Looking over the next goat games. Dublin will do wobble board and will climb on my donut. Do you want me to show those or try something different? I have not tugged on the wobble board. I also have a fitpaws rocker board he will go on. Small peanut I have not tried and have not done anything with paw pods. I have the Cato plank too which he will do.

    Hi Tracy
I think that helps with the blind to decel. I will try it again next time I have more space.

We tried some of the collar grab and stealth folding it in. The between the legs with the collar grab is something I will have to work more on LOL. My mechanics were very off. Oh and this was the 1st time with some string cheese. His slower response to eating it was entertaining.

Thanks Tracy. We had a great time. I think letting the two puppies play 1st helped him acclimate but he did well before that coming in to say hi to Tammy and Beth too. They commented how confident he seemed.

He was also really good about ignoring her, after the first bit of hugs and kisses 😆 He is a very happy social dude, so having to ignore a person and drive to you is great for self-control!!

he did great. I think he would have done better if his leash had been removed sooner. Some of the interactions was removing the leash too 🤣

For the blind to the decel I think I am still confused since I have the toy in the off hard for the turn. Do I switch the toy to that other hand to try to use it?

Today we went on an outing to one of the local agility trials. Said hi to people. Watched dogs run courses. I forgot to bring my toy in so we safely chased a plastic bag. Was another fun day.

I think the next lessons drop tomorrow. Do we need to work more of the other lessons to move on?

    Hi Tracy
lol yes he was starving. Glad I handled it ok. Glad you like my cone 🤣
I will add more play breaks in.

Today I did a rental with a friend at Dash. Got to see Tammy and Beth’s litter of BC puppies too. Dublin played with my friends BC puppy prior to these sessions and I was worried he would be too tired. Other then handler and helper messing on the blind session I am pleased. He had never been to dash before. We did focus forward and blind cross. I got confused on how to do the blind to the deceleration and turn. Need help with toy mechanics.

    Hi Tracy
I found the hamper thing but it is storing some of my daughter’s old toys so I need to empty that. In the meantime I created a taller cone 🤣. I started the session holding a bag of treats. That was hard for him especially since it was past his lunch time. He started the game. Hopefully I handled that ok.

Next we tried some sends with food again. I tried to engage him more before as per your instructions. See some good and then I think I did something wrong and he was following the hands with the food.

    Hi Tracy
Yes he was funny with the basket. Last night at star puppy class they had low wood box that the dogs could get on or in. He had no issues of course 🤣

Thanks for the on the road plan ideas. I think there are cones at Dash and I can bring my bowls. If I go it will be Saturday or Sunday.

For the wraps is the idea to have something round? I might have a pop up round basket but have to look. I have a variety of wings in the basement and other uprights. I have a few bigger boxes too.

    Hi Tracy
Thanks. Agreed he is cute and brilliant but also a typical puppy 😂. Yes happy to have him train my husband too 🤣

Thanks for the info on taking on the road. I think the focus forward and drive to handler are good ones to start with him. We had done a fun run the other day and played musical tugs in the ring. I honestly think he will tug anywhere. I will see if I can get ring rental at Dash or the farm this weekend. It is supposed to be brutally cold 🥶 Let me known if you think I should try anything different or if you have suggestions for plan. Not sure if I will have helper to hold him but can check around.

We did the other sends and then the wing wrap with a clothes basket. I tried food this time for the sends. I will try a toy the next time. I thought they went well again. I need to remember how many sends I do to each side. Do you suggest repeating same side vs every other side?

Here is our session from today. He seemed a little more tired. He played pretty hard with Aspen earlier today so thinking that might be it. We also did an outing yesterday afternoon to a local dog friendly mall. It is very cold outside here 😢. It was good outing. Lots of watching. We stopped on a small carpet area and played tug too. No other games. Tug was very good.

Wing wrap and sends: I thought it all went well. On the sends I wasn’t sure if he touched a few. Hoping what I did was ok.

Eek! The joys of confident puppies… it means puppy-proofing access to all the things to climb on LOL!

oh he has been a real challenge. He will be a good trick dog though. Loves to pull Kleenex from a box. He is also teaching my husband to watch where he puts the remote and his glasses 🤣

    Hi Tracy
Here is the video of his temperament test. He was the green boy. I will add some of our games later today.

When we do multiple things like the blind to the deceleration turn is that considered one or two games. Wondering when I take these on the road of if I can do that along with one of the other games? Trying to not over do with him but also take advantage of any rentals or classes.

    Hi Tracy

For the tug release he won’t always drop for another tug. It is actually funny to see him carry the 1st one in his mouth while trying to get the 2nd. I will keep working on it.

Today we played goat again. His breeder did a lot with the litter climbing on things. He even flew over items in his temperament test. I do have video copy of that if you would like to see it too. He has little fear of climbing which isn’t good when he gets on the couch and tries to surf the end tables 🙄

We also did recall with three items. The book and Klimb leg again and then a new box. I was wondering do I need to do the warm up each time and put the item down or can I set up then bring him into the room?

    Hi Tracy
Today Dublin seems much better. I still worked with his kibble for food.

4 or 5 feet to the side or anywhere not near you when you stop moving. If there is something next to your near you when you are facing hi, it looks similar to shaping sessions where you are wanting him to interact with the object. So having it to the side and you aren’t near it when you stop moving and reward him, I think it will be something he ignores more easily

The space I have is narrow so I am not sure I can do 4 feet. I rewatched your video and the object was further in front of you. Should I try that?

Today we did prop game 1-sends and also the wrapping around a box. Of course the box was a goat trick too 😂

    Hi Tracy

Thanks. He mainly got his food for the training yesterday and that seemed to help his tummy. I will have to check into maybe just using some chicken for training. He will work for kibble but it isn’t enough for some training.

He might be right at the beginning of adolescence, where we see these sensitivities for sure. The sensitive periods in the brain develop at different times, so it is possible he is in a sensitive period now.

The little guy is three months old today so maybe he is in sensitive period. He is very different than my other goldens lol.

Today we will take a break and I will try to stick to the two games in the future. I had thought maybe doing a couple of sessions 3-4 hours apart might be ok.

You can put several objects around for him to walk all over during his goat games, and even pile them up a bit!

We have done a sniffari with all kinds of things out and treats scattered around. It had wobble board and all kinds of other things. He climbed about and got all the treats on his own time. I did video and I thought he did well. He loves to climb. It actually gets him into trouble 😂. I have not stacked things but will give that a try.

So you can do recalls where you are moving away from him and have the object further away so it is not potentially something he thinks we want him to offer behavior on.

How far away? To side more or maybe behind me?
