ParticipantFinal submission for Camp! Here is week 4 Jumping course 1. I ran the course twice. Tried 1, 2, 3 two different ways. Doing the push on 3 felt smoother. I wanted to do a slice on 17 and he wrapped twice. 3 rd time was much better.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience over the summer! Thank you very much for all of your incredible feedback! Look forward to next year!

ParticipantI am so used to dealing with my medium drive border collie so when Rexx kicks it into gear, it feels wonderful! He has his moments of more drive…mostly in the evening!
Agility Pop outs 4, 5, 6.
PO 4-Tested to see if I could hold back on the weaves, but he likes me closer. Did just weaves with rewarding as I moved away. Tried sequence again and I stayed a little closer to weaves so we would have success.
I’ve been keeping a “Skills to work on” list and independent weaves is on that list!
PO 5-Tried sending to weaves from further away. He did get it but with much encouragement.
PO 6-Good boy being very careful to get his weaves correct! Not sure why he was slow. Much better later in the sequence.Pamela
ParticipantThank you very much! Sad 😞 Camp is soon coming to a close! I have learned so much and your feedback has been wonderful! I have not only acquired new skills and knowledge, but a stronger bond with Rexx as now I understand what he needs from me in order for us to succeed!
Agility week 5 pop outs
PO 1-nice fast run and I turned too soon on 6! Second run, I’m sure I was showing him the front side of 3 and he went to the backside. 3rd times a charm!
PO 2 was fun. I made sure to keep my arm back at 4.
PO 3 I feel my arms could be doing something better at 6 to 7. Probably tighter to my body?Pamela
ParticipantDid Pop outs 4, 5 and 6 again.
PO 4-I feel he did not question from 3 to 4 this time that I also got a tighter turn at 8.
PO5-much better when I did a slice on 5!
PO6-Showed the original from last week (with wrong side of 4 -Argh! As I walk the course with the map, I am turning in many directions navigating and sometimes the map gets upside down!) did two runs of the sequence with many more blinds as you suggested as well as 2 different techniques 1-2-3. AND correct way over 4!
Also here is Week 3 jumping course 2. Two places to note tunnel 18 to 19 jump. We do not have a flip away out of tunnel cue yet, so I handled it more with physical cues. I meant for a threadle wrap on 16, but he sliced.Pamela
ParticipantThank you! We are going to try your suggestions and will send video. These are really fun sequences to test our skills!
Here are pop outs 4, 5, 6. PO 5 4-5 was challenging. Did it the 3 times you see here on video and it did get better. Better handling or was he starting to recognize a pattern? 😆

Look forward to your feedback! Some parts of the sequences felt smooth and others choppy!
Pop out 3-tried both RC and BC from 6-7.Pamela

ParticipantAgility course week 5
Video starts with our second run. There was an air gun nailer going off quite frequently at the house on property so he was skittish first run. Note: we are slowly working through the under pressure challenges as well.
My plan was to do the course as per the handling hints, but my coach advised to do simpler handling moves to keep him from having to think too much. Also, to keep things simple on the other side of the dog walk I had him go straight over jump 19.
We worked on getting the backside from both sides of the dog walk. We finished the sequence again, going straight over jump 19.Pamela
ParticipantIt is so fun having handling options and playing with different maneuvers. First part of clip here is taking your suggestion and doing a blind from 6-7 with push. Is that what you meant? Since pop out 5 had that same sequence in opening, I actually pushed him to backside of right wing for fun. It seemed to work out ok, but probably would take longer. Also in PO 5, I must have lost connection from 10-11. Tried again with better success. I feel pop outs 4 and 6 went well. In 6 I decided to do the threadle again from 1-2-3.
Pamela
ParticipantGreat handling tips. PO4 from 5-6 was our struggle area first run. Didn’t think to do a blind. Also blind cross from 10-11 PO5 makes sense!
Video here of week 4 Agility pop outs 1-3. We had success first run on all 3! I think there was a bar tick in pop out 1 on 7.

ParticipantPackage 4 jumping pop outs 4, 5 and 6. Ran PO 4 and 5 twice as first time I had a handling error in each. Tweaked my handling and thought I would send you our better runs. Ran PO 6 only once.
Pamela
ParticipantIt is fun growing confidence to play with getting the fastest lines! Thank you for this!
Here is week 4 Agility course.
We ran it twice. A few bloopers first run. 6-7 my shoulder wasn’t turned enough. Did it better the second run, but was a little hasty to cue 8. 11-12 (cued tunnel too soon?) dropped bar. Better second round. 21-22. Toes were pointing to front side of jump. Second run better. 22-23 I think I was a little late doing BC in both runs.Pamela
ParticipantThank you for the screenshots… Very helpful! I am confident that my handling has improved since starting Camp!
We started Package 4 Jumping pop outs.
PO1-did a reverse spin from 3 to 4 hoping it would tighten up the turn, but it was too tight as he came in behind me. Again, I kept going because it was still a nice run.
PO2-5-6 I thought my tunnel send and connection was clear, but he still came into the jump. I tried the sequence another day and we had more success.PO3-I was pleased with the run. I believe he dropped the last bar because I celebrated too soon throwing the toy!

ParticipantPackage 4 Handling skills challenge
I worked on some of these challenges and later when I watched the videos, I noticed my arm pointing and my tunnel connection was weak! We tried again another day and I did not use the pointing arm…just motion and connection and it really seemed a lot better! The pointing arm is something I’ve done for a long time so trying to break the habit can be challenging. The one thing I noticed when I had the pointing arm is I did send him from further back. I can see Rexx is capable so my homework is to trust his send and turn sooner and without pointing arms! 😀
Last clip jump, tunnel, jump and I went right in with him. I suppose eventually I should be able to send him and stay behind the two jumps. -
