Here’s the jww pop we worked this week! This run was about 10 min after doing some Super Bowl games while Josie was running. Her ability to stick with it I felt was a hundred times better! We had some moments I wasn’t sure how to keep going but kept it as smooth as I could! Skill wise this was way above her pay grade but was awesome to be able to use some verbals to help her. She doesn’t have an “in” yet so I was able to use other cues yay!!

You know I’m “channel” challenged lol!! As I get along with Ella on the process I will work chata in. I don’t want to mess with her poles. They aren’t bad they just have a blimp in the training.

We did the tunnel to straight weaves today and she’s not able to collect. It was funny I split them just to work em and she went in ran by and just flew through the last set. So we slowed it down a bit and I will have to revisit speed into weaves and she was doing well with it.

Love the ideas to get 14. Will be working that. Those are places on courses even with out a layer I always hesitate not knowing if my dog will find the line so I and the dog need that!!

So so happy with this! We worked just the skill earlier today to get the tunnel layer and the tunnel send. We broke our weaves! She has lost some confidence doing higher speed into weaves. I’m also going to have her checked over to make sure she’s not sore.

So how do I get her to take 14? If I had that the next piece would have been clean. Maybe toss a toy. She sees me hauling and comes right to me.

I admit it got selfish bc I had to get three dogs trained in the hour and got greedy with just getting her done :).

I need to get better at being creative with ways to turn her bc yes I knew some of the cookies and line ups were gonna buy me something I’d didn’t want. Post turning on the one helped! Wraps and dig/check also sent her into high arousal lol.

The leash comes off before I step out. Or maybe it doesn’t. Damn it. Now I gotta figure that out lol!

Game changer on the physical and verbal “wrong” she was soooo good this round

New thing coming up. She’s waiting for me to cue the set up. Is it ok to ask and if she says no change the plan? I know I have to be careful with it. I can usually read her eyes if I’m too hot or what are we doing now…

So. Wow! First- I left in prob more than I should have the in between stuff but that’s more important to me right now!!

That said man I suck bu. I recovered quick!lol. The rep she was wrong my body was all boo boo! But, I caught myself before she came out of the tunnel! I decided to avoid the quiet cues or words I May accidentally use and simply go to clear things I would say to get a reward- so “get it “ was going to be the same no matter if she was correct or not and it worked!!! There was even a toy on the ground after the second jump ) not intentional. And she was all in!

Also, I had her go for a run after our first session and that seemed to really help! I did move onto the tunnel being open again bc I had done quite a few with it down and when she shot past me on the last rep with such confidence I felt she was ready.

I know exactly what you’re saying here- I never use the word almost but it has no baring. I could say taco but my actions are the key so that I can very much adjust!!!

Who would think chata would attempt the other tunnel hole lol! Good point!!!

Did a super short session again. Left as much as I could in. She offered me a set up and we rolled with it. The second time she offered again but I was too far behind the wing so I did try to move. She couldn’t stay and I just wanted to let the situation diffuse quick. Hope that was ok?

Interesting even tho she got paid she had to get her leash right after. Makes sense.

Today was take 2! We started with the tunnel turned to ground and she was good. Then another rep and all good and she happened to run off with the leash after that. Of course there was some reason I just don’t know why and it wasn’t caught on tape. Poo! But she came right back and all good. I just put the leash away. We worked a bunch of reps and then auntie Kris offered to hold her so I could add in the additional jumps with out worrying about all the wraps and timing.

I also did a little of package 1 after everyone left. This was sooo much easier for her!!

Will do! I was planning on putting the bar all the way down anyway after this session thinking. Omg it will be 2025 before we get to 3 jumps so keep it low lol!!

Also she was off her rocker bc Aaron was there videoing. Will be interesting to see her when she’s back to her and I

These were our best attempts. Gah! Several adjustments to the wing. And we had several tunnels before we got to this point. There is no layer yet. Lol.

Getting ready to start the RYG package 2-
Thoughts for chata on starting this. In my head I’m a little concerned about the start and if I do a little sling in it’s going to make her question the tunnel. Should I try wrapping a wing before 1? I don’t want to do something like this and have it all flustered from the get go

Overall much better. I probably should have taped the targets down. Sigh… her old teeter concern came back with where it was so I helped bring it down for her which made the next part a little harder but she rocked it especially when I told her go! Oops.
