ParticipantHere’s some more of our rears.
One video shows nothing other than the wing. Oops but actually good because it’s what’s going on at th wing I want to touch on.
It’s fairly minor now and of course you can’t “feel” the energy in the video. He hits harder he grabs the toy when not asked and he mainly doesn’t want to wait.
This happens when I first get him out. Usually we have 3-4 fails before we succeed. This can be skills he knows too. If I ask for tricks he’s wild about them too. When I did the same skill when Christine was there he was less wild.
So it could be my energy or time of day. I don’t know. I don’t want to obsess on it unless we need to deal with it if that makes sense.Tina Reynolds
ParticipantI didn’t think I was supposed to use words yet! I’m fairly confidence if I say go he’s got it. Is it intended to say go before he goes in the tunnel to cue extension or after the tunnel? I ask because a tunnel for me with nothing else should mean exit in extension so I just want to make sure if the timing.
For the SERPs yeah he almost clipped me but I’m noticing patterns and I’ll post my next video to figure out how to address his cray cray moments as he’s getting older he’s hitting harder so to speak.
When you say be a step ahead you want him in a sit stay or still hand in collar
Type send?Tina Reynolds
ParticipantWill do!
I forgot to post these with the other thread.
I’ll work these SERPs until we retire lol
Find the jump. I remember it should be close like 10’ initially so I went ahead and did it correctly and it was better
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantI think my steering wheel is broken ! Is he really committed that soon? More space needed? I didn’t dare do more gos! lol
I did sprinkle his feet with water
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantI did the wing close because he wouldn’t send from farther and it’s felt the same as when I had the issues with julee a that’s what we did so I just guessed how to help. This video was like our 3 or 4 go so it’s taken a few tries!!
As far as wrapping- it’s not likely to happen. I train in five minute bursts. It’s just not feasible. Maybe spray is warranted. He only slips IN the tunnel when he has to change leads.
And it can’t be just me having to do it. Meaning, Am I the only one with dip sh*t dogs? I can’t believe in that concept. Eddie Tulsa chases mom,
Wish, Josie all crazy fast all train there no issues. I’m not trying to be confrontational I’m just not understanding why it only happens with my border collies. What am I doing wrong? With the find the jump- I should not need a go to exit him out of the tunnel?

ParticipantSERPs- still not my friend ( not just with Chase) it’s me not them lol!
We have to start back a bit each time. It’s more about releasing an he steals the toy. After a rep or two back to basics that stops.
Zig zag- I’m claiming I was tired from the trial. We did it but I needed coaching on which side to be on !
Same claim- I was tired. Tho I didn’t share the first part because I want to forget about it. Chase slips in the infamous orange tunnel and only when it’s there. That part is clearly coincidental I assume but he did it when I tried a FC wrap on the wing and send into tunnel. After that I pretty much bagged the wing. I have a lot of worries about tunnels since that’s how Ella blew out her shoulder.

ParticipantTime flies when you’re having fun!
All good fun things happening. Our biggest challenge seemed to be the turns out of tunnels. Not sure if it’s me or if I can help reinforce it more.
Pill bug I was rescue by Christine. I struggle with this one lol!
And I left a piece of fun commentary on my mini pinny. Christine was trying to keep me on track and I was trying to avoid th one way to do it because julee failed so bad I avoided it but chase is smart.
Discrimination round one
Discriminate round 2
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantThis was fun!
Still need to try the other side 🙂Tina Reynolds
ParticipantAs you know we did some smiley faces.
Here’s is the full versionCould I be on his line any more? Lordy I suck!
He’s getting quite amped about all this. Hoping it stays as a focused amp. Right now a cookie in between here and there helps take him down. He looks all nice and cute but you can feel the energy when you’re near him lolTina Reynolds
ParticipantHere is the next grid with the moving target
Cut out the tugging moments. We definitely had a start line issue. I believe I figured it out. The toy has to be in some sort of motion the entire time once I started keeping it visible in motion slowly, putting it to the ground and walking, he was much better so we had quite a bit to sort out on that one.
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantThe jump for the set point was 6’. I was saying how normally 6’ is my max for most large dogs but chase an julee push me to want to open more so try 6.5’? I’ll add the other stuff too.

ParticipantFunny story on the wind in your hair. I never hit record so I worked up to the final stage and when I was all done, I realize it didn’t record so this is a finished product so to speak, just two quick reps with him because we had already trained the things, but I didn’t know when I’d have another chance to do it.
I’m not sure if YouTube will take out the volume because the radio is on in the background, but we’ll just assume my verbals were also amazing on this one.
I don’t know why there was no sound on the moving target there was no sound on my actual phone when I went to upload it either
And the grids

ParticipantOk we have been cleaning up our act working the serps
Tunnel barrel take 2. Getting ahead and slowing down seemed to help him the most. I did not abuse the raccoon like my friends lmao.
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantReally trying to finish a task or a process before moving on so we have been working SERPs and backside slices. The slices seem to be going ok!
The SERPs we had to go ALL THE WAY Baxk to on the flat with the toy…. We slowly worked back to the jump and you’ll see on the right he doesn’t have the value for me and you can’t hear I don’t think but to get success I had to say touch. I could have been better on the dog training part for sure but I also don’t want to always have to be perfect bc that’s not real life ?
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantI’m so far behind sending stuff!
Overall things are just going welll! Yay!!
We have been focusing more on life skills and arousal as he’s getting into this agility thing! I want drive but not frantic. He struggles with change more related to his training space like all my dogs have so now I have a train with chase class where I invite 2 students I really like and feel zero pressure and they get to train and give Chase the distraction he needs and Bella has been able to come too! It’s been amazing!!
I am sending video that are more random in terms of sessions. Sometimes he needs a few sessions simply to catch on so I could send out first one and by the next time he’s got it! Or maybe they are just in progress.
Our biggest challenge is food. He likes it but doesn’t like it when training. Me learning to use a toy for some set ups has been a learning curve!!
This last one was real life using pattens to help when George came in. He’s still pretty shy of people!!
