So happy to be back! Dogs were happy too. I did some dish work not on video. She was sending nicely to it inside. Will plan on a few more session out and about before I bring the Matt’s back.

Teeter. Omg I screwed the target on and still had a malfunction. Hubbie watered my teeter all 5 days I was gone and that end the runner was soaked so I had to lift it back with my foot each rep! Remember she does not like collar grabs (I have tried to work on this … ). I had to angle my body so it would be impossible to go around. I have no idea why she would not release without my movement maybe the sl concern over the collar?

Tunnels- as usual you are so right – reps where I told her before entry the direction were 10000% better!

No issue with the rears – kind of cool. I really hope to have a dog that can obstacle focus and work more at a distance.

OMG- the phone version dumped me out 3 times. Switching to a computer!

I will out of town until Sat night so No I am not dead.

Mat- we tried a session with a raised long mat and the MM behind a wing and she did not seem to get it at all. So after sleeping on it I did the session you see here. My idea was to focus on the mechanics of her moving away from me. Initially, I preloaded the dish. When I didn’t she had questions but then she seemed to work them out. Let me know if you think this is a good solution. I was also thinking that I could maybe do this on just the one mat raised. She will run across the mats fine with a ping pong back and forth and a recall as you saw. It is just going away from me and then the MM.

Teeter- I did a few session with naming the target and behavior (nose down and a foot touch- which rocks her back). Name is Dive. This teeter video is our first time on the board. I am luring her into the starting position since she wants to load on the board form the end. The bang does not seem to bother her and she offered nice behavior. Sorry about the dang target coming off.

tunnel exits: Putting the wings in the right location helped. We have more work to do here obviously.

Sorry I trained before I got your feedback!

Teeter I should have changed her reward marker to good but despite my bad training she did pretty well. On the SERPs I think I need to build my courses better since the jumps were not quite on line for her. At least on these tries I opened my shoulder to her before she took off for the jump. I built the tunnel exit but then had some trouble with her carrying so will try that again tomorrow.

    Arrg the Mat?

She can do well on a recall. The mm ignores the switch to be silent at least for 2 reps- possessed machine.

    I rewarded a hop arggh

Should I maybe try bringing in the distances?

Baby loves SERPs! Flying and so much fun.
The teeter was an inch off. The target is not super well attached.

I have a plan for the mat. The wait for a long one would be crazy but I have 3 shorter ones so thinking I can string them together.

    Planning on straightening serp today.

    Teeter- going great!

Matt- I went back to throwing food and she was great and then mm and I got hop along Cassidy. I will try food bowls ( neither of us is very good at those and elevating the mat.

Loved the SERPs! The last set where I could send and leave were a rush! Loved them. We will include the tunnel tomorrow morning.

We have been working on the offering board end behavior and backing onto the board. These went super well! Offering four on in order to play is just brilliant!!

I also went way back to basics with the left turn threadle wrap. This video shows first attempt at TW in the big field. I wonder if I am cuing it differently on this side? She sure gets it for the right turn. I also show the serp starts. She did have a weird not sure I want to sit thing. I probably did not handle that so well.

    Thanks for the feed back!

Figured out some stuff! I use blinds all the time and thought I was keeping my arms down but so little time to react with Taq! I went back an ex and felt the blinds were better. On the threadle I made the discovery breakthrough that it is the left turns!!! She can do it on the right and it is not a north south problem (is it ever?). This helps. I will break down the left turns with food and try again. We also worked this weeks offering contact last evening (still 108 here!) and that went very well. Please tell me the wings are almost over! My brain can’t handle them! Please notice on my fall I did not lose connection and rewarded my pup!

I know I said Threadle but I was trying to do the tandom turn! I watched both videos a couple of times and I am not catching how the dog would know which one we are doing. I do threadle wraps with my current dog but I can’t say that I have ever used a tandom turn on a course. I want to be clear with the puppy.

    Omg double crosses….

Sorry unedited- her first turns were not tight. I forgot to use my verbals.

Between the trial and 106 temps you will see videos from 5 am!!

At the trial- uki (love uki) Taq had plenty to distract her without the practice ring so I did not use it. She was great traveling. She thought all dogs were there to play the first day. So we just used that to ask if she could play around them or focus on me. Second day in the evening we went to practice jumps and used wings to do a few things. She did great on her stays and the wings, ran to her reward but then schnuffled for dog treats left by herding dogs. I won’t be trialing for awhile but can maybe go with Ginger to a training yard and work on the fun mommy play away from home.

So I tried 2 wings again. I have a question- since it is a 360 wrap I used by backside wrap cue for the first wing. Is that wrong? I realized that I am
Not getting the counter motion as well as I should on that first wing. I think I want to just do those ( l and r) without the next wing. To focus my brain. I needed the break this week!

On another note- I disconnected from Cricket in a run and told myself- run her like Tracy is teaching you to run Taq. No surprise that worked! We had a great weekend. I am even starting to love gamblers.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going back to food across the Matt. This is a different Matt than I started with. It is double thick so she could feel it. I warmed her up but maybe she does not w joy touching it? Will play with this.

Thanks for practice ring advice. Yes UKI!!!

Ok for today’s fiasco. Taq wanted me to send you a message asking if we could bypass 3 wing ex since mom failed to do 2 wings! On the plus side puppy was brilliant and mom rewarded the efforts excessively! I need bars to use the right words!

Omg worst latent learning ever. I think she was dreaming about the opportunity to leap over the target!!!

So many misses. I finally got the idea of having her super close.

When she was just running back and forth for thrown food she was not jumping. Let me know your thoughts.

The counter motion felt very awkward to me. Well at least the first wrap the second wraps felt good.

Last but not least we are going to a trial with a practice ring. You pay for a weekend of 2 mins max as often as there are no lines.I was thinking about going in and taking her leash off and playing. Then maybe next session sit stays with toy reward and next session maybe a jump tunnel?

    Thanks for the help!

Danika and mini roo who seriously got more like Hot sauce…

This was so fun! I must have been late on the back command. So please with her ability to do this!

It was heating up so I added in a few counter motions.

She slept on the counter motion and nailed it today! We also started the two jumps. I was so
Pleased she got the rear cross!
