ParticipantTraining package 3 Hot Topics – the first parts. We had fun with these last night.

ParticipantHaving done the earlier sequences and missing the last one worked in our favor so we could apply your feedback. π

ParticipantWell it rained all day on Thursday then I was out of town until Sunday night with Mazi. Monday I was beyond exhausted from the weekend plus it rained all day. So we finally got out to do the last sequence from Live 2 today. All week is supposed to be cooler so hopefully we can get more running in. And hopefully we’re done with rain for awhile! I am loving how green things still are though. I haven’t had to water the agility field once this year.
So this is the last sequence for Sequence 2 – the full course. It was fun! I got all the layers in and was more connected although I felt a few spots where I could have done better.

ParticipantHere are most of the courses from Live 2 from yesterday and today. I just now realized in Sequence 1 that I was supposed to do a backside and not just a wrap. I also missed the last Sequence 2 course. I’ll try to get that in tomorrow before I leave to go out of town for the weekend. I’ll try the first sequence again with a backside too.

ParticipantJust wanted to say thank you for giving us extra time. Itβs much appreciated. π

ParticipantHere is Package 2 Hot Topics
There were some breaks as there must have been a deer in the yard earlier or something. She was all about hunting and running all over and ignoring me. I did get her attention enough in-between to do some agility. She liked the circle one. Also the hunting is the reason I didn’t do startlines.

ParticipantThank you! I’ll review my videos with your feedback in mind.
Here are the other 3 courses. We did them this afternoon. Towards the end I didn’t layer as she was hot, we had some failures, and I wanted to support her more.

ParticipantThanks for the great feedback. I can see the things that you pointed out and how to do better.
I’ll work on the focus forward. She already knows it on a dish when she’s next to me for obedience so it should go quickly.
We moved on to the Live 1 courses since they are quicker to setup and I’m already quite behind. Here are sequences 1, 2, and the Bonus. Although I did a slice on 6 and not a wrap. Not intentionally – I just forgot that it was a wrap.Heather Sather
ParticipantGreat seminar last weekend! It was nice to see you in person again.
Saphira’s training has been a patchwork. If you remember we struggled a lot when she was younger. So we’ve probably got quite a few holes in our training. She jumps 24″ so I’m jumping her at 20″ here. We finally had enough of a break in the rain to setup and run the Hot Topic! sequences.Sequence 1
Sequence 2
Sequence 3
Sequence 4
Sequence 5
Sequence 6

ParticipantHe’s a beast!
Here is our pre-game 1 – wrap verbals. But as I watch the video I’m wondering if this is supposed to be purely verbal only and I’m doing too much body help? But you will tell me. πHeather Sather
ParticipantI’m not sure how long this class goes for and we are terribly behind but here is some wing wrap foundation on the garbage can. I added a step to the can at the end of this session and that helped alot.
I’ll do some backing up video tomorrow.

ParticipantTechnology is great when it works. π
So I was just saying that I had crazy on call and then our trip to Orlando for the Invitationals and then the holiday. So now we are back to work and are going to try to get caught up. He did get a ton of life experiences on our travels. He’s traveled a lot actually for being so young. But now we are settled in for the winter. Ready to get back into a regular routine.
I also said that his food drive is insane! So he is always acting like he is starving. He’s lean but not too skinny. I appreciate it since he gets alot of kibble all day for management. Yes, I had the food in my hoodie pocket. There is a bowl of kibble on the mantel for easy grabbing. So he was looking at that to see if he could help himself. LOL Which he’s been up there many times. He’s such a goat. He’s been on every surface in this house. Walks across xpens with covers and wire crates no problem. If it wobbles and falls no big deal. Teeter should be easy. Great idea to use lesser value food to see if that helps. Boring kibble. I was using cut up Lucys. I’ll get try this outside too where I have more room to get him chasing the toy. He’s got great prey drive and he’s good at tugging. At least he didn’t muzzle punch me in the eye like Letty did when we worked through this. LOL
So we attempted backing up tonight. The initial backup when well but then we struggled. I think I should use ‘get it’ instead of ‘yes’ and that might help him not be mugging my hand. And maybe bigger treats? I tried squatting down and that didn’t go any better. I could always do the backup to something method too.

ParticipantWell, I wrote a long thing and then it bliped when I went to post and I lost it all. And I’m too tired to rewrite it. We’re happy to be back to work.
So here is Shaping In Arousal: Goat Tricks 1 (Baby Level)
and Wing Wrap Foundations kind of 1.5

ParticipantHere is the 2 dish game. We had already done a session or two. I thought I had recorded them but I can’t find the videos. So we did dish to dish then I added a cone.
