When we go out and about she is a different dog. Super shy and reserved. She wasn’t that way initially but as I think I mentioned- Covid and surgery changed her.

Whenever I can have someone around I try. My schedule is such that I can’t really have her hang out while I’m teaching and then run her. She needs a good 20 min warm up first. She has to stay in the car ina. Crate because she scream in the x pen ( only at agility class. Obedience she’s fine. Tonight I talk tricks at a different location. And she can be totally chill on a platform for 50 min. She demos and I can go and work with dogs and she’s super relaxed.

I will plan to run her tomorrow before my night classes and asks a student to come early so she can work in a ramped environment so I can use her snuffle.

    Ok will do!
I did forget to answer your questions but Ella doesn’t have much opportunity for class setting. I don’t take classes with other local trainers for a variety of reasons. She’s mostly calm when we train meaning- no biting just some frustration when something is new or harder than usual. Seminar – yes she gets trial like. I don’t have anything coming up tho.

She is quite familiar with the sniffle May so I will bring that into training now and start the pattern game!

    Thanks!

With the pattern game. I admit I’m vaguely familiar just havent needed to use them. She. You say repeat until you can get to the last plate does that mean they can by pass the plates and stay looking ? Or am I still putting a treat down every single time but looking for the dog to eat and re connect to me immediately?

Serps- omg that is too funny I set them backward. Was in a rush when I did these and went back to my other videos I didn’t submit- those were all correct so glad she figured it out.

Lead outs- while I whole heartedly agree I don’t want to fight and I’d love
To let her offer, I will have to think on alternatives to help her. I’m planning to do competition obedience and chata is either too young or just isn’t that dog that can distinguish the difference so When I started to allow the offering, her stays and fronts and all the things we play in obedience got very unclear in that setting. We are working foundations stuff but that also causes her stress. To help her , we worked on a Klimb to get her sit with out the offering of all the things including lurching. She needed a high platform for success.

So if I “ask” for it, I need it- not to sound like I’m being a hard ass on a young pup. So what I think I can do is either put these away until she gets more mileage with success or use wraps for when I need to get ahead. The klimb is too unstable for a start line. A lower platform will put her in a down again. I love the challenge and will find a way. Unfortunately I think life and timing of when I have access to actually train and get video done is causing me more trouble because I don’t have the time to stop and deal with and given situation which makes for bad dog training. I will own that for sure.

    Catching up ok videos
    – serps have been tricky with the concept transfer She’s been good on all the parts except this set up. I ended up putting everything closer together to see if the space helped and it seemed to. Is that acceptable to do that? It’s the invite she had Trouble with.

Lead outs- once we get to the take off side of 1 she couldn’t do it. Some really bad tosses to try to help her commit.

    Wings- tunnel exit and entries.
We did not handle the rears well, but only one direction…. I’m not used to using a ball but it’s what she will bring back :). She for whatever reason will retrieve it to the dog walk platform. That’s how I’ve been working her retrieve

I do just toss balls around – only
You she brings back lol! And outside in the field we play frisbee and swim.
She isn’t a fan of chasing long toys- I know sounds weird but she’s more an upright girl- that said. Today I brought her in after classes not for any training but to say Hi to her favorite human:). She was barking at someone demanding a Lolly pop and then she picked up her toys and we had a quiet play on the floor.

I’m fine not training anything :). Most my time when I’m there is actually swimming in the pond or just short bursts of wings and tunnels but yeah- she will be 1 yr. 9/17 and she’s a Vizlsa so I’m fairly sure she’s having a brain blip.
I will work( for lack of better word)the suggestions above. Thanks!

What is the deadline to submit videos for this class? I have like six I need to get to you.
Next question – I’ve lost my tug drive. 😤. Back when you requested I start using my tug to come into the environment that’s comfortable for her, I thought that would be no big deal because she does love to tug and I have use the tug for things like tunnels and wings…..But we’ve had such a history of food lately add in her obedience classes where we are using food so food has become the priority.

In an effort to regain my tug, try to engage with her most favorite toys alone with her and surprisingly, even that she could not do.

What are your thoughts on allowing her to come into the Ring and give her a moment to literally just sniff and assess the environment and then when I see her engage back to me initiate tug? I did do that once and it seem to work but there was a good minute to a minute and a half of her either sniffing or just running in circles while I had the leash attached. after I got it she was super happy to tug and I did not realize she still felt that was hard because when I did my tunnel with the toy she checked out when I gave her the bite cue for her toy.

Right blinds to wraps- my body does not like this😂. This is my third take. I’m just now where I need to be even tho my brain knows where to go. Add it she has some skill building on counter motion when I’m not dead straight onto a wing wrap.

Fun times- we are tugging again- we did so much with food we forgot we tug for agility too
We trained by the fan and window open!
    Gates are open!
And there was a mess of mushed treats from someone in previous class so we worked through some scent challenges!

We are back! Chata first heat cycle made training a challenge. Week 1 was a fight with the panties 😂. And now it’s been so so hot it’s hard to train.
The rear cross video was our last training video and I was losing air and she was hot and didn’t want to tug as much. One rep you can see I quit. She got a cookie and I pushed myself :). I haven’t done much with rears so I will need to practice these !!!

    our rear crosses-

Our wing counter commit. Sorry video is a little over limit. I ended up spliced all the levels together. This was so hard on my brain! She of course was all in all the time. The fan was on high so very hard to hear but I promise I got all my words!! 😂

My first video of lines turned into a training session on start line stays. I almost did a TikTok video because every time I got to the wing of the jump she threw herself into a down. And not a stressed out got a stiff down but I slammed down ears flipped back let’s go. And it was not random. It was every time I led out. it was the quirkiest thing because we’ve never asked her to lie down.

She does show it in one of the videos and only did it one time but she had me laughing so hard.

There were other things set up so I didn’t have a lot of space but I think it worked out OK for the most part

Blinds- not the best on timing. Man these are hard but fun!

Omg this was so much fun!
I cut out the intermittent play and a break.
Not sure I’m ever going to get the timing right. She’s a little pocket rocket. I also spit out so many wrong words! I even practiced before I started 😂

The cuts in the videos are just tugging and playing. Both of these I tried to ramp up the time and reward in between skills

Motion override- she has done this but she could not do as well that day so I over shot what I thought she could do when we started and dialed back.

Teeters- she is obsessed with them because she was so afraid of it when she was a tiny tot so we have done a ton of value building.

We do pattern games every time whether on home turf or new place. 🙂 I just don’t video to save time. Also why I am concerned since she should be fully engaged and seems to be when I go to start. I added in unclicking the leash in a new place ( not actually taking off and rewarding her looking to me/staying with me.
Part of it, I believe she’s gotten a taste for full access running so it’s such a high value thing I need to adjust it be on my granting the access. We will keep at it!!

Yeah the one woman party✋🤦‍♀️ is because I am starting to worry about her leaving. She’s been doing it probs 1 out of 8 times. She did it again today at Sotc. She wanted to run off first check all the things then she was good to go. It’s a V thing ( well can be any dog right?) but I have ptsd from Tugs so need to be better in my day to day to want her to acclimate with out needing to run off.

I will be visiting these drills for sure! She’s so squirrely fast I get lost watching !

How did she get so brilliant? Never imagine she would find lines ANd not take a tunnel when cues a wrap!!

We had some minor stay issues. As much as I want to do stands too I have tried and she moves too much. But all in all I’m not concerned with her stays. She left for a hot second caught smell. That side of the turf leaves a lot of dogs sniffing. No idea what it is tho. 🤷‍♀️

Never saw the bar go down hence why the bar went down😂

    Timing

    Wrap transfer
