    Hi Tracy!
So I think overall this went pretty good? On sequence one I feel like she liked me starting with her more then the lead out. On sequence two she totally saved my butt. On sequence three I struggled with that one backside and I also pulled her off on her dig dig wrap back to the tunnel. I thought I showed decel instead of stopping but she said differently! Also, with the convergence she is still asking some questions I think?
Let me know what you think of this!

    Hi Tracy!
We worked the skill sets a little bit yesterday. It’s so hot up here I kept it really short. I feel like I am not doing the convergence right. The first time she ticked the bar and then she took it down another time. I’m also not sure I did the 180s the way you were asking? It was more of a rear then a blind on that second one! Let me know what ya think! Thanks 😊

    Hi Tracy!
Really enjoying this unit. This is a very major weakness for me.
On the first walk through, I think maybe I didn’t recognize 9 to be tricky for her? I was thinking about her angle to the tunnel but maybe not enough about getting her to take it correctly?
On the second walk through I felt like I had a nice fluid plan then I got flustered during the run and had to back peddle to save it, which she did for me!
Let me know what you think!

    Hi Tracy!
I feel like today was a great training day! We did a lot of work on the custom skills stuff. I concentrated on the SERP, backside and threadle ones with lots of rewards. I didn’t video these because she was understanding them, having fun and just really showing enthusiasm which I love. I did Do sequence 1 and 2 and I tried to pay attention to planning my handling out better and being clearer with her like you suggested in week 2. I also tried really hard not to dangle my hand on her backsides. I think I owe you some craft beer šŸ˜‚
Here’s our sequence video let me know what you think!

    Hi Tracy!
We practiced the skills for week three this morning. I think they went ok. It got warm in the barn and her tongue was hanging out by the last couple so I kinda feel like I didn’t have to handle those in ā€œreal timeā€ but let me know what you think!

    Morning!
Thank you for the feedback. I think I understand what you mean but I’m not entirely sure how to fix it. Do you mean like my timing is off because I’m behind in what I’m doing? I’m not sure how to fix that when I walk 😢 I know I have to pretend she is with me. I guess I’m glad at least I’m starting to figure out the right handling choices for her most of the time. I feel like this goes back to our mental management class we took during lock down. Like the visualization parts? Would that help you think?

    Hi Tracy!
Thanks for the feedback it does make sense.
I gotta day I’m really bummed with this training session. I don’t really see where I did much right for her at all. I kept trying but if one thing fixed another one broke. We switched to a novice course for the second run because we struggled so much on masters but I think she was kinda over it by then. Let me know what ya think!

    Hi Tracy!
Winn and I have been up at camp for the last ten days so we are a little behind in class. I worked on the master sequences today from week two. I tried to go over early when it was still cool but she still got pretty warm and slowed down by the last sequences.
Wondering if I am still hanging around waiting for her commitment instead of moving ahead or if my timing looked ok? I think she has a good understanding of dig but I still am wondering if she will go around the backside and jump if I keep running. Let me know what you think!! Thanks!

    Hi Tracy!
Thanks for the feedback it is always so helpful to go back and watch and plug in your suggestions!
This morning we did the first two sequences in masters. I was pretty happy with the first one. I felt like I showed her really crappy lines on the second one but she saved my butt. I tried a couple different things but I’m not sure any of them were that great on my part. Let me know ! Thanks!

    Hi Tracy!
We got invited up to practice the full course with our Aussie friend Josie today so we practiced the first two courses. I really struggled with the opening on the first course. I don’t know if it was me or her or a combo.
On course two I think she read our backsides a bit better? But the section 9-12 was pretty hard for us!
Will be doing the sequences and also the games you posted for me later this week!
    Thanks (:

Thank you Tracy! This all made soooo much sense to me!! I have always struggled with her not taking jumps when I turn forward. I try hard not to but sometimes I gotta orient myself lol! She absolutely loves playing lazy bastard and it has helped us a ton with this problem but not completely.
She does melt in the heat. It is really hard to rev her up when she gets hot. I shoulda tried her ball maybe.
I hadn’t noticed how my timing helped her bend til you said that!! Gives me something to work towards. Also should I be doing more verbals? She has a handful that I think she truly understands.

    Hi Tracy!
We worked through the skill sets this morning before it got too hot. It’s either snowing or 90 this year lol. I think we did pretty well with them. We struggled with 7 and I don’t know if we were both just hot or what! Also on the one where she takes the bar down, was I in her way? Looks like she hits it with her front paws?
    Thanks!
