ParticipantToday was take 2! We started with the tunnel turned to ground and she was good. Then another rep and all good and she happened to run off with the leash after that. Of course there was some reason I just don’t know why and it wasn’t caught on tape. Poo! But she came right back and all good. I just put the leash away. We worked a bunch of reps and then auntie Kris offered to hold her so I could add in the additional jumps with out worrying about all the wraps and timing.
I also did a little of package 1 after everyone left. This was sooo much easier for her!!

ParticipantWill do! I was planning on putting the bar all the way down anyway after this session thinking. Omg it will be 2025 before we get to 3 jumps so keep it low lol!!
Also she was off her rocker bc Aaron was there videoing. Will be interesting to see her when she’s back to her and I

ParticipantThese were our best attempts. Gah! Several adjustments to the wing. And we had several tunnels before we got to this point. There is no layer yet. Lol.
What am I doing wrong? Help!

ParticipantGetting ready to start the RYG package 2-
Thoughts for chata on starting this. In my head I’m a little concerned about the start and if I do a little sling in it’s going to make her question the tunnel. Should I try wrapping a wing before 1? I don’t want to do something like this and have it all flustered from the get goTina Reynolds
ParticipantOverall much better. I probably should have taped the targets down. Sigh… her old teeter concern came back with where it was so I helped bring it down for her which made the next part a little harder but she rocked it especially when I told her go! Oops.

ParticipantHere’s the good, bad and the wowza lol!!
Reaction time when things got hot on the start is still a challenge for me. Atleast the first time. I was able to atleast have a plan the second time.
The first run, she offered the set up but when I stepped out she said nope and then she kept circling. What you can’t see is the Leash on the ground. In her previous life she would have taken off with it. She made hard decisions but it only flustered her. I was simply trying to turn her around and go :).
Second run the cookie throw away and me lining up just wasn’t happening.
Contacts- it’s all where her head is at and they went to hell. Not upset just had a hard time setting up the line to go again so need help on that to make a fast easy transition so it doesn’t feel wrong to her.
Happy that I used my right out of tunnel 16 the second run. Tried the Bc because the rear was yucky for both. I was so close ( not really lol!).Tina Reynolds
ParticipantI literally can’t stop laughing as reading this. All those places that installed out/ Aka decel /met her at the tunnel was me literally like someone was holding my pants and I couldn’t run ( these runs were my 4-5th attempts maybe lol!
The clapper. I haven’t done that since Nia. It is not a thing I would like to continue.
She doesn’t have the slice skill yet. Thought about the blind. If we get a chance I will try the blind at the end
Very excited about this summer and all the things we will lear

ParticipantHere we go!!
I was pumped to run this. I felt it was with in chata ability… I did not account for my aging body. Lol! I pieced my best two. ( ran the opening about 3 times) she was awesome with jump 3 the first time and then we couldn’t get it. I just wasn’t in the right spot I think so there was some pausing and ackward handling my last run.
I have no idea where “get out” came from or “come.” Two words I never say! The clapper was fun. I tried to do the wrap at 10 and I could not get my feet around and bought the orange tunnel, Or if I left too early I bought the jump. The blind was the only thing that worked. I’m hoping to revisit that as it may be baby dog stuff
I giggle every time I watch this.Tina Reynolds
ParticipantI work every Wednesday so I haven’t been able to watch any of the zooms yet. I will do that one first.
I have another question.
Ella grew up with all the games- shadow handling, find my face, sniffling etc… we can do all the things and do them happily outside the ring. Shadow handling is a warm up for usI’m not sure how to work on find my face in agility because when I have a disconnected or there’s something she’s not getting- she finds my face no problem- she comes at me. So should I still be playing this ? I just worry that it will reinforce hr coming at me like she’s already doing.
So I’m mainly trying to figure out how to bridge the gaps here. The main thing I’m guessing is working her maybe at the practice jump at a trial and then go to her settle Mat. She’s crates in the car at class/seminar because she can’t settle when other dogs are running and the space we train is super tight so not fair to ask her to with out being able to give her adequate space.
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantYes I knew they were close unfortunately I didn’t have much space due to class going on and dogs in crates just past where I was
Since class is ending and I missed a lot with Ella- can you explain the super bowls with the jumps? It was mentioned at the beginning of the class and I want to make sure I have some semblance of an idea of what do with her on my own and to put all this into context with my dog.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey I’m back!! I decided since Chata has pretty much grown up with this stuff I’d wait to see what Ella can do. She’s off rest but no agility. Today I was able to get her back to the training building- but for obedience class which she likes as much as agility! Since she couldn’t do what the class was doing we did some Super Bowl by our crate. I was not the best at timing- she was also distracted enough to offer things outside of what she knows with this game! Here’s the raw uncut and basically- was this a good game to play getting back into things ??
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantSomehow one of my posts was lost
For Ella not being in classes- she isn’t now but she went through classes, seminars and she had many FEO runs. Multiple places before we went in for real. It wasn’t until recently this started. I just wanted to clarify I wouldn’t throw my dog to the wolves so to speak :).
Here is Ella super bowls. This actually was harder than it should have been. Several takes of how many things can I offer near or in or on this bowl lol. Operant dogs can be fun 🤩
That said- Ella is hurt. She strained a groin muscle ( not soas) and likely that exacerbated the issue. She’s on rest for 2 weeks atleast so I will continue these games. Really bummed I won’t be able to continue with her in this class tho. In terms of an actual plan for her.
Could I drop a different dog in just to make sure I stay engaged in class? My Vizlsa has a clean slate. She has done many games from day one and would like to keep going so they are built in. She can get squirrelly too if I don’t watch her. Her hardest challenge is the start line. We are working on some ideas and platforms but even just running through the gambit of stuff here in class will keep me focused. I understand if it’s too late into class. Thanks!

ParticipantHere’s our training- unfortunately I was focused on camera where the mat was. What you can’t see is us just working turning out of tunnels. A friend was there initially to give some stimulation but this is a typical session. The snuffle Mat went well
Out and about- we hit tractor supply. Man it was weird feeling doing that! Outside went well!
Inside you’ll see her typical reaction to a person- shy. (Videoing and working within the moment was a challenge :). We did 2 more rounds of shuffling. Interesting to see when I thought she was done- she was assessing and not actually done I believe. Before we left a man approached and I could not believe she not only went up to him to pat her on the head and was super relaxed!
Tina Reynolds
ParticipantWhen we go out and about she is a different dog. Super shy and reserved. She wasn’t that way initially but as I think I mentioned- Covid and surgery changed her.
Whenever I can have someone around I try. My schedule is such that I can’t really have her hang out while I’m teaching and then run her. She needs a good 20 min warm up first. She has to stay in the car ina. Crate because she scream in the x pen ( only at agility class. Obedience she’s fine. Tonight I talk tricks at a different location. And she can be totally chill on a platform for 50 min. She demos and I can go and work with dogs and she’s super relaxed.
I will plan to run her tomorrow before my night classes and asks a student to come early so she can work in a ramped environment so I can use her snuffle.
