    Hi Tracy!
Thanks for the feedback!!! That made my day!!! I don’t often remember to handle proactively or aggressively, I was smiling to myself about the whole rest of the day.
I wasn’t able to get back up to FF to redo anything but I did go to the barn and set up the RYG challenges. I will be focusing on them this week whenever I can. Do you think in general rear crosses are not my best option for her? Or just the way I handled them in the 11-14 line?
    Thanks (:

    Hi Tracy,
We got the chance to work on jumpers course today. I really had a hard time figuring out11-14. The second run a handful of bars came down too so I’m guessing I was late with stuff.
    Thanks!

    Hi!
Still feeling kinda overwhelmed but here’s my lists so far
    Can’t control
Daughter got hurt and needs much more help now
Have to take care of mother in law which adds to things I am juggling
So much work around the property with bees chickens etc and I get very sore and tired
Have developed a heart condition since last bout of Covid
Winn’s ED has progressed badly and she has many sore days

    Can Control
Trying to eat better so I feel better
Trying to carve out. Consistent time every day to train

    Dog sport out of control
Don’t always have enough time or energy to train properly
Our Q rate is really low and I wish it wasn’t
Courses seem very tight for my big girl
Feeling very overwhelmed with a almost 3yr old and almost 1 yr old to train

    Dog sport I can control
Learn how to target my training sessions to help me and the dogs learn better and more efficiently
Make sure we only enter trials with good surfaces to help keep bars up

    Hi Tracy!
To answer your question – Winn received PRP for her elbow dysplasia and is now going weekly to Cornell for shockwave therapy. She seems to be responding so fingers crossed!
Huck and I got a little practice in, my footwork was very wonky with the rocking horse lap turn thing. And I thought I got more reps in with the go and then wrap but I guess not lol.

    Hi Tracy!
So excited the stay is starting to sink in a little bit!!!
Winn had a PRP injection at Cornell yesterday so we were stuck at home. I only have a few jumps here so we did rear cross practice and a version of the left and right proofing. It wasn’t perfect but I am so happy with the attention he gave me outside!

    Hi,
We worked a little bit on some of the week 3 stuff today before going back to week 2. Otherwise I’m going to get too far behind.
    Thanks for the feedback.

Oh geez. Lots of mistakes on my part on this one I guess. Ok I will try to work on all that stuff you said. I will be on week 2 forever sounds like. It is hard to switch from a dog that is 25” withers to one that is maybe 12.
I do play crate games with him by the way, the concept just doesn’t really seem to transfer anywhere else. We also work on sit tug sit a lot but that also isn’t transferring yet.
    I’ll keep working on everything.

    Hi Tracy!
Got called into work last week and had no time for training. Don’t know how I trained my other dogs when I worked full time lolol.
Anyway we worked more set point and the tunnel games from week 2. I think his set point work is coming along a little bit though staying is still for losers in his book. Moving the jumps apart definitely helped! The tunnel games went well but he is very very focused on me still I think. Do I do toy races to help with that?

    Hi Tracy!
We practiced the other two games today – smiley face and wrap proofing. They went pretty good though I’m thinking I need more value on the tunnel then I have.
We also practiced the advanced level of the wind in your hair. He did much better with the reward thrown versus placed I think. I got more speed anyway. Sorry the video has painfully long gaps while he finds the lotus ball, I had my readytreat out for this and the dumb battery died!
Didn’t revisit the set point since I can’t get him to sit still!

    Hi Tracy!
Thanks for the feedback. I wondered if I had set the jumps too close I know I felt squished. It’s proving hard for me to switch between Maple and Huck lol. She needs the jumps about 8 feet apart with her legs.
I practiced the stays in isolation today. Thy went ok but boy is he a fidget! When I started catching him faster I think that helped. I have a feeling this is going to be a work in progress for awhile?
Good side – the go go go games he is all over!
Here’s some stay practice so I know if I’m doing the right thing for him.

    Hi Tracy!
We tried another session of the wrap verbals and I moved it closer. He was much more successful thank you! Should I keep it here?
He had lots of fun with the wind in your hair game but not so much the set point. I was getting frustrated but tried not to let him know. His stay is pretty non existent. Should I work on this somehow separately? If I crept away ok he seemed to understand to look towards his ready treat fine.

    Hi Tracy!

Huck and I worked on a few different things this morning. We did perch work, rear crosses and sends to the cone. Was he turning the right way on the sends? I felt like I was sorta doing some awkward version of a FC instead of how nice and smooth yours looked 😑
Trying to pick up bits and pieces to try and catch up before class ends!

    Morning!
That would be great Tracy thanks! I have played the crate games but not in awhile. If you think that’ll help I’ll play them iver the weekend. I’ll try the clicker too. He can’t sit still for beans – constant motion lol!

    Hi Tracy!
Took Huck over to the barn today to practice and really happy with his focus and attention for such a little guy! Most of our stuff went pretty good. The beginning stays were kinda a cluster. The ball I was trying to use as a reward took a long time to deliver the reward and I think it got lost in translation to him. It got better with food but he is NOT a sitter lol! I also had to really work the tunnel because he wasn’t in love with it, I hope the way I did it helped. He loves the magic box that is the ready treat lol!

    Hi Tracy!
So I’m feeling a little overwhelmed because I have gotten so far behind I don’t know how to catch up now. I wanted to submit some video though so I mostly just did the stuff I had practiced before and a couple other things. Could you help me figure out what I should practice next?!
    Thanks
