    No worries about the delay.

I feel like she is SO FAST that I can’t even get moving or I’ll be late on my cue and she’ll be gone! I definitely need help here. I’m just starting to get it right with River. 🤦‍♀️

She did a lot better today, so maybe we both had to sleep on it. I think I will redo these and try to run more. I will definitely need some distance skills on her, but it can’t be only distance!! It’s trial by fire for both of us.

If it’s not raining tomorrow, I’ll film them again.

Keep telling me what I need to know. She will be spectacular if I can figure this all out.

Edit: I’m so sorry about how long some sequences take to get going. I told my videographer to capture the ‘before run’ bits and didn’t check the videos before I uploaded them. I’ll trim them better in the future. Good luck at CanAm!

We seem to be having increased difficulty with a variety of skills at the moment. She may be getting ready for her next heat, also my crew is passing around kennel cough, and she’s 18 months, so her brain may be temporarily off-line. We’ve taken a few steps back on stay, teeter skills, and general focus. And my handling skills are definitely not ready for her!

We were really struggling with the left turn on the wing.

I will keep working the lap turn stuff. That all makes sense. Unfortunately, I have been suffering with ‘frozen shoulder’ for the past few months and I can’t extend my left arm or reward with it 🙁 I’m trying to be careful not to jar it, and it’s messing up my handling. The prognosis for recovery is a cheery 1-3 years!!! So I will keep working around it. Just keep telling me what you would normally say and I’ll figure it out. Just thought it might provide some insight.

Lap/Tandem Turns. Should I be working on tightening up these turns, or will that come with experience? My footwork was not the best here.

SOMEONE left the teeter target plate on the teeter overnight and SOMEONE ELSE chewed it to pieces in the morning, so we’re improvising until I can make another one.

We started with more simple targeting with no movement or toy.

We did a few reps of Go, Left, Right before we started the rear crosses.

This one’s a little long. Should I be moving the bars up from 6″ at this point? I know you usually want to bars low when we’re working new skills. What do you look for to increase height? I know most of the pups her age are already jumping 16″ (EVERYONE in Ontario got a sport mix around the same time!) . She is approx 15.75″ at the shoulder.
