Ok!! That’s great!!! Phew indeed. I had to send both my dogs off with Kyla when they had to be measured since they would behave better for her!

Did you shave her?! How did she measure?

I will review it but I wasn’t going to film it. We’ve done it a lot. The rear jump doesn’t go lower, so I’ll have to get another one. The distance e was 4 feet, then I moved it to 5 feet. We did some of this in the summer at 5 feet, but the reward target point was always stationary and the handler moved. Won’t the moving target change their jumping mechanics?

And your friend is getting a FABULOUS puppy. I’m almost envious. I’ve already considered another one because she’s so great. And also this lady I know keeps getting puppies and trains them to do All The Things and she makes it look easy 😉

Smiley Face National Chamionship….OMG I love it. It should definitely be a thing. What was your take on the barking?

Wrap proofing. Not the most successful performance.

LOL! I *may* have heard of a couple of people who trained their dogs to crouch…

Is there going to be any training around measuring? All of my dogs hate it and I need to get on top of it ASAP!! I feel like it’s a resiliency thing as much as it is a trained behaviour. Thoughts?

Feet pointing in the right direction. What’s the difference in positioning for a lap turn vs a threadle? What cue would you use?

So for River, it is indeed a shoulder injury. At least that mystery is solved. We are on 4 weeks of low activity and then we will be working to strengthen it afterwards. She is hoping River can get back to agility by the summer! …at which point we need to fix our weave problems.

She turned both ways when we tested it, so the trainers decided that she should turn left. I was practicing at home and I think when she got tired on the left side she started turning right! I was sitting on the floor, so it’s possible that I cued it (I was wondering that at the time), but I think it’s more likely I had overdone it and she was getting fatigued and switched to right.
