Here is 2 different sessions of working the channels and using the wings for entries. This was fun as it brought on a whole new set of challenges for Statk, wanting to go fast but have to really focus on getting the entry correct. Hahaa!
He did pretty good and when he had some difficulty we took the wing out of the picture and/or I decreased my movement. His hardest entries were at 12:00. My biggest struggle was to not throw the toy to early 🤣.

I do have a question but it is about motivation for the plank for the RC. I had been using the wing and then having Stark run the plank. But now we raised the plank so we can’t do that. He doesn’t run on the plank but kinda leisurely jogs down the plank to the MM and/or toy. You know him pretty well, so I wonder if you have any recommendations. I’m asking Jordon as well. Here is a snip of what I’m talking about.

We worked on bang game and down hill yesterday. He started off with the teeter almost parallel and did okay. We were practicing really early in the morning so I couldn’t get him real excitable and barking. I wasn’t real happy with his downhill so my plan was to do a lower teeter on the next session. On the next session with the lower teeter I kinda feel like he regressed. He also decided he liked the food better than the flying squirrel. Anyway, I lowered the teeter even more in hopes he would stop slowing down at the tipping point, he got a little better but it was still there.

This teeter thing is killing me. 🙁

Harder angles with movement and tightened poles. ✅

He did great in this session. ❤️ A couple missed entries but nothing resetting him didn’t fix. I also mixed up food and toy for rewards. When the MM Beeped I made sure he got the cookies even if that part was not on camera.

I noticed that with his striding he was bouncing the poles when he entered on his right shoulder but when he entered on his left he was doing one legged striding. I thought that was kind of interesting. We are not on flat land here. Maybe that had something to do with it???

We have done a couple sessions with moving the MM around the clock. Here is a video of our last session. His success rate has been pretty good!!
What are your recommendations from here?

We had a lovely session this morning with the bang game and down hill track.
Naturally, I didn’t hit record. LOL.

    🙂

    Toys are magical!
Wow, when he realized what was happening, game on! His little body was literally weaving. it looks like he might be a 2 leg hopper instead of each individual leg. Is that because of his size? If I remember correctly all my paps did the hop with 2 legs. Sizzle does single leg.

I know each dog is different. Is using a single leg better for the dog? Will the channels help with the striding?

More teeter fun before we got on the road yesterday. He did break his end behavior but out of excitment not b/c he was uncomfortable.

One more session inside yesterday afternoon. We got some more enthusiasm here. 🙂

Should I raise it some now for the bang game? And down hill track?

Added some for challenges with 2 sets of poles yesterday afternoon. There was also way more distractions and lots of fun obstacles around so he really had to focus. I think I could see steam coming out of his head. LOL
    He was a good boy.

Set of 2, 2x2s at a new location.

Since he did the for the first time at a new location, I didn’t want to add in a 3rd set. I will add this in next time. 🙂

I didn’t move the MM in the last session b/c that was our first time doing it on the plank.

I did move it around this morning. We had some misses on the mat but his initiative to make sure he hit it after his miss was quite funny.

How about a little bit of rebounding to start the morning? LOL

Here is some bang game with some down hill game at the end.

the throwing of the disc and the tunnel really got him driving to the end!

okay, here is our 2nd attempt at the downhill.
I rewatched your video after I did my training session and I saw that you didn’t always start them at the top and that you also met them at the end of the teeter and sometimes had no food but just threw the frizzer. Im’a try that next time. 🙂

I also liked how you had them jump up on the teeter sometimes. I think Stark gets a little demotivated when i have to pick him up. maybe that’s just me though.

I definetly think he likes going this way more than uphill.

I feel like we finally made some progress today. I figured out that if I put a wing at the end of the plank, I get better running out of him. He was getting tired at the end. This session went on to long for him.
